What I was subjected to when I went to pay my taxes

I went to pay my taxes today.
This disturbing graphic image was posted right next to the tax collector window.

This is in a large town where the murder rate averaged out over the past ten years to LESS than 1 per million.

Beside the fact that message stinks, the writer of it should dream about going to a writers class! The grammar in that thing is juvenile.
Was this in a government building?
If so, you should lodge a protest, claiming it offends you highly and should be removed!

I would strongly protest to the tax collector/auditor/person in charge of that section. And I would have taken it down and thrown it away!!

It will still be the guns since American politicians are in love with criminals and don't want to hurt their feelings.

When guns are outlawed how are normal citizens supposed to protect themselves from the influx of animals armed with the AR's counterpart.

Umm, yeah. This is so over the top, I bet this was the product of some seriously misguided youth group "peace project" or some such, about middle-school age, who came in and asked to put it up.

If you had seriously thrown an adult fit over that as recommended by some of my esteemed previous posters, you would have looked like a pompous ***. Much better to have your kids or grandkids (borrow some from gun-owning friends if you don't have any handy) make up a similar poster with the right message (maybe even in correct English) and have them march in there and insist it be put up next to the offending one. THAT discussion I'd like to see on cellphone video.

Probably a County tax office? I think I would probably file an objection in writing with whoever is in overall charge of the county government in your state, and also send a copy to the local newspaper, your state legislature rep and Senator, etc.

As much as I'd want to, I'd have to refrain from ripping it off the wall. They'd probably try and get you on some sort of destruction of property charge. I would however remind them that as a government owned Public office, they must follow and support the law, not someone's opinion on perceived slights, but the federal, state, and local laws. And then, just cause it's the type of person I am, I would ask them if they would approve to hang my sign reminding people about all of the lives lost during the Revolutionary War; that was started due to TAXES.

So they work in a county tax office and they only post warnings or worry about gun violence? Hmm, I think I'd be more worried about someone strangling me with their bare hands when they come to pay their taxes....

One might remind them placing public notices that are damaging to the constitution in some circle might be construed as treason.

I pay taxes in this joint and posting of personal or political or religious items in government offices has been ruled illegal by the government. So pull it and stuff it, now.

That is how it should be done, but then you know they will come out and do a new appraisal on your house to raise your taxes.......
