What is C & R License?

I'm probably just having a senior moment, but what type of license is a C & R? Thanks. George

curios and relics aka 03' license. allows you to buy firearms 50 years old or older and have them shipped directly to you. it's a "collectors" license not for running a retail business. you also get discounts at Midway, Brownells, Numrich, Graf,etc.

There are also eligible firearms newer than 50 years (such as the Cz.82 or the Yugo Tokarev) that are on the list, that's the "Curio" part. Officially the C&R is a Type 03FFL.

How much trouble is it to get a C&R license?

No trouble at all, the trouble shows up at your door later.

Usually from places like Allen's Armory, Southern Ohio Guns, and many, many other dealers of milsurp guns.

But, you can get a discount at MidwayUSA, Brownells and quite a few other places with it.

Yes, there are indeed NFA guns that are C&R. You still need to get the tax stamp before taking possession, but you can have them shipped directly to you. Check the list, they are on there (see section IV).
