Anti Gunners are paying to allow you to visit this forum. This happens from time to time. During election cycles, you may find liberal candidates spend their money here as well. Annoying? Sure, but also somewhat satisfying as every dollar they waste here is a dollar they can't spend somewhere else.

No harm in taking their money, though. After all, one of the great tactical principles is to make the enemy expend his assets ineffectively.

It's called having a contract with an advertising agency, you rent them space to advertise, they control the content. Helps keep the forum up and running for all to enjoy. Simple as that. Although it is strangely satisfying that the anti's money is being spent to support the very thing they are trying to destroy.
Every time this comes up it confuses me. I never even notice these ads, or any of the others for that matter. I'm not here to see ads. I guess I have trained myself to block them out.
But I'm happy the anti-gun folks are wasting their money on here. As previous posters have added, that's money they could be spending on ads that could actually change somebodies mind. I can't recall an ad ever having a serious influence on my political views. I have a brain, I actually know the candidates, and the issues.

The most frustrating part is the time it takes to download a new page!! I'm getting more PO'd by the minute!!!

Call their toll-free numbers. It costs them dough. Order a pizza.

Gotta say, I really didn't notice it all that much. The page seemed to have a different look but I didn't think about it all that much.
I have to say that I don't understand the new economy. I very seldom look at ads on websites, and I don't think I've ever clicked on one.
Facebook etc. is worth a kazzillion dollars based on these sorts of ads--I wonder how effective they really are?

I LMAO when I see this happening.Money spent here is $$ they can't spend else where.A funny bit of trivia.In USA today it was reported that Black friday set the record for # of background checks for gun purchases.The Brady people said that it was probably the "work of the gun companies".From that response you can reasonably conclude they aren't very bright.When they buy space here it just reinforces that conclusion.

I beginning to wonder about this forum myself. I just received an infraction for posting a reply to a thread about Obama right here in the 2nd amendment forum from about a month ago! I literally just received it in the past few hours ago. All I said was basically "I still don't know how he got elected and hope he doesnt get re-elected because Yall ain't seen nothing yet". I will admit I said something I shouldnt have but IMMEDIATELY after I post and read, within 30 seconds I had it changed to basically what I had posted in quotation marks. The thread still had the same number of views so no one should have saw it. And then wait almost a month to give me the infraction... I mean COME ON, if we cant talk like that in the 2ND AMENDMENT FORUM!!! Why is it even here??? I think they even deleted the thread because I couldn't even find it. I am a member of other forums and actually get requests all the time to help answer questions but of course just recently started here. I have saw much much worse on other forums and most of the time they get a big ol' ATTA BOY!!! instead of an infraction, LOL. I am a NRA LIFE MEMBER and DARN PROUD OF IT!!! My Father is a NRA Benefactor Life Member and I will be working on that myself soon. Of course if I got an infraction for the last post, I'm sure I'll get one for this one or even worse and so be it if this GUN forum is going to be run that way. Apparently some dont love their guns (and want to defend them) as much as I do and Im NOT going to apologize for that. The real question is will they even let you see this reply??? And I was seriously thinking of becoming a Silver Contributor on this forum, lol...

If you bother to read the rules, you'll notice, maybe, that we don't do general political discussion. The 2nd Amendment forum is for specific 2A topics, not general pol whining.
If you bother to read the TOS, you'll notice, maybe, that Moderation is not a topic for public discussion.
I really don't care what you see on other forums.

Sometimes the reverse happens. In 2006, a pro-gun rights organization, the Golden State 2nd Amendment Council, bought air time on KOMY (is that "commie?") in Santa Cruz, CA, a very liberal, anti-gun area. The protests were loud - and the ads were funny. You can hear them here: Untitled Page
Thank you. I would never support a website/forum that allows bashing or political whining. There are dozens of venues out there if one needs a place to vent and be patted on the back for directing slurs, etc, at whatever side one opposes.
Most forums that allow that are simply not as well ran.
This place, Enos' and my local pistol club forum are the few I've found that are above that nonsense and it is noticed.
As for the ads, all I get here are ammo firearms and shooting accessories ads, maybe other sporting goods. I haven't seen anything else yet, not anti anyway.
