I've reached the end of my gangster movie binge and need to line up some more movies. What have you been watching lately?

You mean you're staring at an empty queue???? Hate that. I've been enjoying The Fbi Files, especially season 2. There are four discs per season, and each one counts as a selection, but each disk has 4 1 hr eps. Season 2 has one about the 86 Miami FBI shootout. It's called Firefight. Some of the re-enactments are a little cheasy and they are a little dated (10 years or so) but it focuses on actual human police work, not just all the lab stuff that gets boring.

We actually like the old Sherlock Holmes movies with Basil Rathbone- there wre 14 of them made in the 1940`s. Have now watched almost all of them.

We're talking movies here (opinions galore) but we recently flixed The Burning Bed..the old Farah Fawcett movie. The subject matter is pretty vile but she really turns in a great performance.

I really enjoyed the series "Foyle's War" Watch them in order. A police detective in S England during WWII. Very authentic production to the point of absurdity.

Just rented "Pride and Glory" a cop gone bad movie and very good. I like the Coen brothers' movies so I recommend "Burn after Reading" and "Blood Simple" I rented recently.

You should put John Wayne's "the Shootist" and Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino" in your queue. The 2 best movies of all time!

I just watched this:

Mountain Patrol, a film from National Geographic World Films.

I don't know how I heard about this, but it was very good. Its based on the real life Tibetan mountain patrol that went to war with poachers in the mid 90s. You have to read subtitles, but its worth it.

I've got this one on the way:

Drag Me To Hell movie on Unrated Blu-ray, DVD & Digital Download | Available now | Watch The Drag Me To Hell DVD Trailer, bonus features & more

I saw it at the theater when it first came out, but I was laughing so hard I missed a bunch of Sam Raimi goodness, so I'll watch it again on Blu-Ray.

Another foreign film - this one with vampires:

And one of my all time favorites - no wires, no stuntmen, real pain:

"The Narc" with Ray Liotta and Jason Patric. Very gritty and a great
look into the mind of a cop who can't stand the idea that his partner was
a junkie.

If you like the slightly weird, try "Things to do in Denver When You're Dead" with Andy Garcia, Christopher Lloyd and Christopher Walken.

One Coen Bros. film not mentioned so far is "Miller's Crossing," a good
period piece about gangsters.

Also, anyone not seen "Eastern Promises" (Russian mafia in London)
and "A History of Violence" (Philadelphia mafia)? Both with Viggo Mortensen.
