What is the gun with the best trigger out of the box?

Not a well thought out question. Not much different than asking "what's the best gun?" Rifle, shotgun, handgun triggers?

I’d say the the new Colt Cobra and King Cobras for revolvers and in general Springfield, Kimber and Colt 1911’s are very good straight out of the box. Polymer, no idea. The new Colt Pythons have excellent double action triggers too.

The best trigger out of the box I've had is an older model Sig 229. It's also my most accurate handgun. The Canik the OP indicated would be a close second though. That trigger is just good right from the start.

broad question...
SIG 210 (but the older ones, swiss made) for SA-triggers
H&K SFP9 for striker fired ones
S&W M27-2 1978 (personal preference)

you will get lots of different answers

For a revo, the 686-6 has a wonderful stock trigger. It’s MIM; so I don’t know how much it can be improved, but it is smooth and crisp, as is.
I’ll defer to others, regarding semis, but most 1911’s seem to have decent triggers, from the factory.

Strange question to ask on this site. I thought that everyone knew that the best out-of-the-box trigger pull was the SA trigger pull on an S&W revolver, particularly an older one. Of course, some Colt SA trigger pulls were OK, but their DA was considered by most to be quite inferior. Also, Colt and High Standard were certainly competitive in .22LR, as were a few H&R pistols and some furrin offerings.

Was your question pointed in a slightly different direction from what I understand?
