What is the worst Movie You ever saw?

Williams and Duvall

Popeye the movie with Robin Williams, not speaking poorly of Williams mind you just identifying the movie. Even the sound track was horrible.

Robin Williams had it right and Duvall was good casting for Olive Oyl, everything else was awful. I read something about what the makers intended, having to do with old-time Popeye, but it was an utter and abject failure when it could have been great.

The Transformers.....

Especially most action movies. Most of today's Producers/Directors have forgotten about minor film requirements such as plot and character development and instead substituted shootouts, explosions, car chases and various & sundry Computer Generated affects.

:(

I didn't think having to watch Transformers with my son was too hard, but that last movie I saw was NOTHING but explosions and skyscrapers falling over VERY slowly with people sliding around inside.

Two totally preposterous disaster movies that make my list are Volcano and Dante's Peak. Both of them have scads of people dying horrible deaths, but the pet dogs miraculously survive.

Just pretend this is witty.

Hands down, the worst movie I've ever seen was "In the Bedroom" with Sissy Spacek, about a dozen years ago. Boring and dull, with a predictable plot, and a long slow crawl toward the inevitable ending...terrible film.

(I was still married then. My ex- and I were friends with Tony and Renee, who wanted to go see it. Midway through the movie I was looking up, counting the 2x4 ceiling tiles to guesstimate the size of the theatre. Renee looked over at me and whispered "I'm sorry"...I smiled and said "I'm gonna getcha for this!" :) )

Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. Funny I still remember how terrible it was after 30+ years. Also, Gandhi.....thought it was very boring.

Two 80's movies...Megaforce & Transylvania-6500.
Or any Pirates of the Caribbean movie

Nobody has mentioned "Sound of Music"!?!?! I got dragged to that at age 12. I kept hoping they'd get strafed as they climbed over the mountain.

"Doe, a deer, a big, dead deer"
Dude! Seriously? I love that movie! What's not to like about The Sound of Music?

I really thought Blondie's career was OVER after
Every Which Way But Loose - Bronco Billy - and, of course, the ever pathetic Any Which Way You Can.
Oh and anything else with Sandra in it....

Paul Blart-Mall Cop is my candidate.

Joe Bob Briggs used to have a syndicated national by-line and appeared in many news papers. It also seems to me that he had a somewhat colorful rating system for 'his" films. A number of the afore mentioned horror films also appeared on Mystery Science Theater 3000, another tv series with a cult following.

Bruce

Couldn't mention his rating system on a family site.

I love these threads. So many of the listed films are superb, just not to personal taste.

There's a big difference between a truly poorly made film and one that simply doesn't suit the viewer...

To that I submit - King Soloman's Mines (1985) with Richard Chamberlain.

If you can make it past the naked women drawn chariot race (ala Ben Hur!) you're a better man than I.

Well I will say that most of these, I had to good sense to avoid nearly all of them in the first place. Although I didn't have a female leading me to them, either. I dislike horror movies, bloodbaths, and torture. I thought Sound of Music was an outstanding movie, just not my kind of movie. I kind of like most the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and though Time Bandits was amusing, strange but amusing. One that I can't stand that hasn't been mentioned is Tom Jones. 18th century(or whenever) bawdiness just isn't enough to carry that much garbage. Didn't enjoy Midnight Cowboy much either. Any of you who actually paid money to see Adam Sandler do anything, deserved it. I would rather watch dogs defecate.(in someone else's yard.)

The worst movie I ever seen, there are too many to list I have Netflix...

But I think "Anchor Man 2" was horrible.

Netflix is, without a doubt, the very BEST place you can go for cheesy movies. I subscribed some time ago and, when I was home alone for a few days, I decided to entertain myself with a couple movies. I only picked those that were in the high rating category (don't know who rated them). They were so bad I couldn't get through the first 15 minutes of each movie. No need to tell what movies I watched, prettu much anything they have is bad.

On the other hand, Netflix is a good source for TV series you may have missed or some of the series you can only get there.
