I just bought a 44 mag TALO and want to hear about your experience.

You got you a good one. Word of advice, swap out those meat shredders for a better set of grips before you hit the range. Mine's a great shooter with loaded down magnums or specials. I had a surprisingly good day shooting lately and was smacking a 6" plate at 75 yards. You should enjoy it.

Mine is a fantastic shooter. I switched my original grips out with S&W Hogue's.

This^^^. A friend had one. I've shot plenty of 44 mags before, but the stock grip felt like someone was hitting my hand with a sledge hammer. I only fired a few rounds. I swapped my Keith Brown RB hideout grips onto it and that made a world of difference.

No fun at all.

When I looked at the gun photos online, I thought it was beautiful. Had to have it and kept working deals until I got one ordered from Davidsons for mid $700.
Took it out and before I emptied the first 6 rounds, my hand was a bloody mess. I could feel any sharp edges, but damn if it didn't put 1/4 slices right in the web of my hand. I went and got some band aids from the range master and those and some masking tape was able to make it through about 24 more rounds.
FYI, I usually take about 200 rounds of .44 magnum with me when I go to the range and love shooting my 6". And I am not recoil sensitive at all. But this little bugger is no fun.
Yeah, I could shoot .44 specials , but dont reload and the only .44 specials I find on the shelf are double the $$ of magnums.
And I have a 3 inch 686p, ...
Needless to say, as soon as I could, I traded it off and got my money into something better.

These guys ain't kidding about the Altamont meat-cleaver grips.

The grips are just fine with specials but with magnums forget it, your thumb will be hamburger. Hogue's are the way to go for shooting comfort. Real fine gun other than that. I like mine.

I shot mine some with those grips. Then went to the S&W 500 grips and finally settled on Diamond Pro's.
