The thread about preferred EDC Cartridges gave me an idea for another thread, so here we are, what it your preferred EDC Brand? In other words, what brand of firearm do you most often carry?

At the risk of feeling special, I'm going to have to admit that my go-to brand is Smith & Wesson. I know, I know... Shocking that someone on a S&W Forum would be fond of Smith & Wesson firearms, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the other users here carry something other than S&W for EDC. Heck, even for me, my BUG is a Ruger LCP.

So what brand do you most often choose for EDC?

Note: I've included as many major current production manufacturers in the poll as I could think of, but if by some chance I missed one, then feel free to vote Other then specify below.
I've excluded manufacturers who have gone out of business, cannot import firearms legally into the United States, or don't manufacture handguns, so for all of you folks who are carrying MBA Gyrojets, pre-ban Norincos, or Short-Barrel Shotguns/Rifles, please pardon me for excluding you.

Much as I love my beautiful Smith & Wessons, the firearm I drop in my pocket every day is a Ruger LCR. They're ugly, soulless things, but they work well and take a beating without complaint.

I also have exactly zero emotional attachment to them. If I ever manage to shoot one until it breaks I'll just buy another.

Same but - 642 is always #1 and my LCR is #2 and i often carry 2.
I could swap and wouldn't care either!

I have several S&W revolvers that I carry on occasion off duty, but my everyday uniform and plain clothes carry is a Glock 23. Even off duty I more often than not carry my Glock 23 or Glock 19.

I really don't have a preferred. I buy and try a lot of guns from various manufacturers. Some work for me, so don't.

I carry several different makes and models. Gen 3 Glock 19, Staccato C2's, 1911's in .45, 9mm, & .38 Super, H&K's, S&W J frames, Kimber KDS9c (Poors Wilson Combat EDC X9). Really depends on what I want to carry that day. I usually lean towards double stack 9mm's.

My favorite gun is probably my iron sighted C2 (also have one with optic). I call it the single action Glock 19.

It's funny, I omitted high-end manufacturers like Nighthawk, STI/Stuccato, and Wilson Combat because I thought; "No way does anybody EDC a $3K+ firearm."

Shield Plus. Ample capacity and large enough for my large hands but still conceals easily and comfortably with an IWB holster. At about 5,000 rounds downrange over three years, still looks new and seems like it will roll on indefinitely.

Where we live is very rural and I CC an alloy frame commander in 45 since '90 with an officers acp for the 4 years before that . I've also had a 40sw since '90 . My optional CC a single stack 40sw pistol but that changed to a double stack M&P 4.25 40sw for my big city or road trip needs . I getting old and not as fast at mag swaps as I once was so more rounds in the mags is handy .
