What on EARTH?!?!?!

I'm really more.....

I wouldn't get too worked up over it. They have no authority over what you shoot except on their property. We have range rules at my private range. Hours and types of firearms on certain ranges, that type of stuff. So their rules. If they said tomorrow no more AR's I guess I would have to evaluate that and see if I wanted to renew my membership.

I think you may be taking this personally. If you want to continue shooting there just roll with it. If not move on.

We can't even buy an AR in this state anymore. No skin off of my back side. Lots of people still shoot semi-auto rifles at my range, including me.

I'm really more concerned with the big picture and what this means to gun owners.

I think all it means is one business deciding to hassle customers about their choice of firearms. Maybe they think because of their policy it will reduce their insurance or maybe attract a different type of woke customer. Somebody that would buy a pistol but find semi-auto rifles disgusting and vote to restrict those. IDK. Probably lots of reasons I can't even think of.

In this state dealers are having to find new ways to generate a profit because of some new laws our legislature just passed. One of them is dealers/manufacturers liability in the criminal use of firearms.

So there's pressure coming from many directions on businesses that sell or use firearms. My guess is it's insurance related.

A story like this makes me appreciate my range/shop more than ever (it is public but also offers memberships that carry multiple advantages).

Not only do they sell surpressors (and are great at walking a customer through the process) they have a number of full auto items available for rent at the range desk. Oh and once on the range and prove proficiency one is allowed to draw from the holster. The target system on one set of lanes has a variety of drills preprogrammed.

The ROs are very good and attentive, I feel safe on the line.

This is my point...

Whatever the agency, insurance, lawsuits, or any, there IS a concerted effort to find ways to eliminate guns and gun ownership. And the means are more effective than trying to legislate gun bans. Apparently the part in the Second Amendment about "...shall not be infringed" is being infringed.

I was looking for an AR....

"Please exit via the gift shop". :p

...tube stocking locking plate, you know the little plate with one big hole and a little one? Seem like it was $35 or something close to that. Needless to say, I went to Palmetto Armory that's only 15 minutes from my house instead ot the 12 it takes to get to ATP.

I really need to try the range at Palmetto, I don't know if they allow rifles.
