BTW no one has mentioned IMR's SR 7625 as a pistol powder. This powder meters similar to BE, and burns cleaner than Unique.

There is loads of data for it as well.

I ordered 8 pounds from Powder Valley but it is currently out of stock.
Keep checking and you may find some locally.

I have used SR 7625 before and I really like how it performs.

posts #2 and #4. currently, there appears to have been a significant increase in price, as compared to other powders.

I've been able to develop the widest range of 9mm loads from mild to very wild using Unique.

Most of the pistol powder is being shipped to another planet cause there is none on this one. You will have to look for shotgun powder and probably some that isn't well known. This is one and it works. I load 45 ACP and 38 spl. with it and just about 2 weeks ago I bought 8 lbs of it online from Gamaliel. Alliant has load data too. I find it a good replacement for Bullseye and burns very clean. Alliant Powder - American Select

I was able to find powder this weekend and made my purchase based off the results of the poll. Thanks...

For jacketed bullets, Universal. For lead / moly coated lead, WST.

IMO, Universal is a great powder to start with for 9mm, since it's low density and depending on the bullet weight being used, a double charge is either really obvious or really messy (powder overflowing the case).

I too like Universal very much for 9mm and 45ACP. I shoot mostly lead.

WST, in my guns, is a terrible powder for 9x19.
Far better would be WSF. Even AA5 is much better. If you really need a fast powder, AA2 and Solo 1000 are better.

I have used Ram ZIP, Acc #5, True Blue. All have worked OK. But that is all have been able to get. I will keep looking.

It looks like I'm with the majority. I only have HP-38/W231 and Bullseye in my cabinet. I use it for 9mm, .45 and .38/.357. They work great. If I wanted hot .357's I think AA#7 would be better.

Too late to vote but I'll go with the minority. Since I only reload target level ammo with cast bullets, I use clays. In fact I've found sweet spot loads with this combo in 45acp, 40 s&w, 9MM and 38 SPECIAL. W231 and an occasional dose of Unique work for my 380ACP and 357 Sig loads (respectively).

Vvn320 is my new favorite for the 9mm. Very clean, mild recoil and low smoke.
