What revolvers do you use as a CCW?

Model 49 Then and Model 649-3 Now

From 1979 to 1998 it was a Model 49. From 1998 to now it would be a Model 649-3. I'd be very reluctant to change. i'm not sure I could learn to shoot another small CCW as well as I shoot these.

CC REVO

A 640 no dash. Yes, being stainless it's heavier than the air wt's, and has a heavy dbl action only trigger, but the accuracy from the snubbie bbl amazes me. Almost every time I fire a rapid 5 shot group, I get at least a cloverleaf of 3 or more touching. I can't do that with an air wt. Our last weekly steel challenge shoot, we did a J frame day. Mostly 642 light wt's. Not to brag as I'm REAL slow but I was the only one to run a clean 25/25 hits at app 7-8 seconds per 5 plates. I FINALY found the correct bullet/powder combo. I do have a 637-2 air wt that I'm not wild about (it has a hammer & the finish wears easily), but will carry it if I really want a lighter gun or want a hammer, it's the one I give to the wife at x's.

Carried a model 60 for many years. My daughter decided it was hers. Have carried a plain vanilla model 36 since. Have no complaints with it. Wouldn't mind trying one of the lightweight models but have never seen one.

Man after my own heart.

This is in the rotation with my M&P9 Compact-

You see... now THAT is a CCW revolver. Darned nice.

I carry a NAA 22WMR loaded with Hornady critical defense rounds. Can't see that I would need more than that being most bad guys are cowards anyway.

Just kidding. I carry a 442 loaded Hornady CD rounds, or a Taurus 85 UL loaded Hornady CD rounds

Hah, I carry my 6.5" 500 magnum. It's not lite or small. And I don't have to worry about getting a clear shot cuz this gun will shoot through just about anything. I get a lot of strange looks since, yes, you can see it. But nobody, and I mean nobody F's with me.

I should mention that I only carry it when out in the woods hiking and fishing etc.

I carry a 340 SC and my wife has a 637 Wyatt Deep Carry

depending on the weather and mood:
1. S&W Model 64 2"
2. S&W Model 64 4"
3. S&W Model 15 4"
4. S&W Model 28 4"
all carried in "Lobo" OWB dual carry pancake holster (strong side)

*** P.S. if I feel that I might be "Moved On" by a group of young "Hottie" with the intention of making me their "Sex Slave" I CCW a Glock 17 9mm with extra magazines. (Jimmy is NOT easy)
