What Say You Revolver People?

I actually like the looks of it, not traditional but interesting nonetheless. I'd probably get one, but not a fan of Titanium parts on a revolver.

I bought mine a few weeks after you started this thread. It was on my buy list anyway but you moved it up a bit and I found one pretty quickly. Many keep saying that they would buy x or Y instead of this. I say by as many as you possibly can afford. I have plenty of snub nose J, K, N and X frame revolvers in 357 magnum or larger calibers. This is just one more to add to the herd. I really like the weight to number of rounds ratio. I plan to carry this alot.

I like the look but without the horn and the caliber is too small. I'm in the big slow bullet that is controllable camp vs the lightweight speedy bullet with too much flash and recoil camp.

Just too dang ugly for me. If I want to carry a .357 snub, I'll go with a snub K-Frame. As far as I'm concerned, N-Frames should have at least a three inch barrel for aesthetics.

Agreed. Personally, I'd go for four inches.

I remember when the 696 came out and it didn't sell well because it was "just a special" and not a magnum. Over time they became a "most wanted" and prices went crazy. Perhaps this is the next grail gun.

With the right holster I'd go for it. Nice revolver, nice grips and it's light enough to carry all day. 8 shots may be needed but shouldn't be. It's nice to have the extra rounds though, just in case.

I don't like the looks of the 327 much, and I reject any S&W with an extra hole in it. I bought this a while back, a Taurus 658, 8 shot, 3" unported barrel. It shoots great. It looks a lot better than this pic, taken by my now gone cellphone:

Interesting not useful

If I had to have a revolver for home defense maybe and that's all.

I wasn't too impressed with its looks initially. I have handled one a couple of times now (never fired one) and the looks have grown on me.

The primary disadvantage to me is that I can carry 2 J-frames for about the same weight. I am always pocket carrying 1 J-frame and then I add another AIWB or in my other pocket while I am out & about. The 327 is really only a 4 o'clock OWB weapon in my estimation. Some people claim to pocket carry them, but I can't see that working for me. Having a J-frame accessible from two different locations is a big plus for me.

They also lack a pinned front sight for a big dot or a Crimson Trace option. Both of which are negatives for me.

Every time I handle one, I want to buy it. But, when I weigh the pro's and con's, I haven't been able to justify a purchase yet.

Boy, howdy. I have seen this hunting. Guys rush that first shot and the guys with the semi autos seem to be the worst about this.
The idea that will have another shot right away is hard to keep out of your head I think.

My brothers and I go by the saying. "One shot, one deer, 2 shots, maybe one deer. 3 or more, nothing" Mostly it runs true.
I deer hunt with a Thompson center pro hunter 7mm rem mag with a custom brake from eabco

I have a TRR8 and I love it! The 8 shot moon clips work great and any of the 8 shot N frames is on my short list.

I didn't really like the wide v notch rear sight so I took it off and mounted a Bushnell red dot with the Allchin mounts. Now I want more red dots, lol.

BTW, the factory picatinny mount sucks--way too bulky and it sits too high above the bore, in my opinion. I forget who it was, but a forum member also mentioned the problems associated with the factory mount causing the shroud to clock, so I went with the Allchin mount, which is very nicely finished and very low profile.

The only thing is that I really wasn't too sure about switching over to red dots at first, so I didn't use locktite when putting this together. So far it hasn't given me any problems so sooner or later I'll tear it down and remount with locktite, or maybe not? If it's still working properly over the next 500-1000 rounds I'm not about to mess with success.

Not for me. You already have a huge N frame to hide, might as well have some more barrel, at least 3".

Groo here
Got one, holster coming.
Not using speed loader's ,or moon clips...
Instead some 2x2x2 pouches and and a 2x2x2x2 for a full load...
When carrying a rifle ,, I like a pouch [like a musket cap pouch/cuff case or snuff pouch]
Just swipe your finger in and grab one.
These guns are not "high volume/hail of lead" types.
Rather , aimed fire.[shoot some and top it off]
Here you trade power for numbers.

I can't think of a negative thing about this snubby. So it is on my bucket list.

Put a 3.5" or 4" barrel on there and I'd have one. I get a 1.75 0r 2" on a pocket gun, but that's going to need to be in a holster. You might as well get a little more out of the cartridge.

Nope. Just casually looking for a 4" .38-.44 Heavy Duty that doesn't look like it was pulled on a rope down a gravel road behind a pick up.

Please put a 3 1/2 inch barrel on that thing like the old 27s, it needs it...
