I got a really good deal on 2 M59. I then traded 1 of'm for a M19, 4". It's an old Police gun with a great action and a lot of finish missing. The rear sight was put together wrong so I 'fixed' that. It is a wonderfully easy gun to carry and the .357 is a great round if you need to actually shoot somebody. It has quickly become my favorite carry gun.

When concealed-carrying a revolver my first choice is the 3" Model 10. Occasionally I will use the 2" Model 64. My 35 year old Model 37 still sees occasional carry use.

Camping and hunting trips are usually accompanied by either a 4" Model 66 or a 4" Model 29, frequently supplemented by a 2" Model 34 in case edible critters present themselves.

For more formal events the 6" Model 19 rides in a beautifully hand-carved holster of the old Hank Sloan style.

My 642 was my daily carry, in a pocket DeSantis holster or OWB in a Bianchi holster but recently, thinking about potential terrorist situations, I have felt better carrying something with a bit more round capacity. I find that more often now I carry my Ruger LC9s with 8 rounds and an extra mag in my left side pocket with another 7 rounds. Having 15 rounds makes me feel better than having 10 (5 in the 642 plus 5 in a speed strip). I will admit, however, that nothing gives me as much confidence that it will go bang when I pull the trigger as does any of my S&W revolvers. But reloads are certainly easier to accomplish, especially under stress, with a semi than with a revolver.

When I can carry I now use my 10-5 2 inch. I can see the sights a lot better than my M36. For ease of carrying and at belly button range the 36 is great but I like to practice out to 25 yards and I just can't see the sights. The sights on the 10-5 are larger and easier to use. Some day I'll find a M36 variant with adjustable sights and I'll go back to the J frame unless I can find an affordable M15 or 19 snub first.

When I carry a revolver, it's a J-Frame in a Desantis pocket holster or carried on my belt with a Desantis Clip Grip.

Sometimes I'll carry a 4" GP100, but it's a pretty substantial hunk of metal to lug around all day.

Sissy. :D Four inch S&W Model 686 8 to 16 hours a day 5-6 days a week with 4 speedloaders, pepper spray, a 26 inch collapsible baton, handcuffs, X26 Taser, keys, and a Motorola portable radio. Almost forgot the S&W Model 642-2 in the pocket or on the ankle with a Bianchi Speed Strip of spare ammo. It does feel good when the duty gear comes off at the end of the day.

I actually thought it would be higher than 2:1 for Js vs. Ks. And then there's the 19 brave souls hauling around N-frames!

So far, I haven't been able to convince my agency that I need a S&W Model 327 TRR8 or a Model M&P R8 to replace the Model 686-6. I think I could find an old duty holster for a 5 inch N-frame. :D

My EDC is a government model 1911. My woods carry gun is a 4" S&W 29-2 .44 magnum.

I carry a 627 PC 8 round N frame snubbie. More often, I carry a 638 as a light pocket gun. Also have a 442 Airweight, but I prefer the 638.

I typically carry either my 640-3 or 642-1. The 640 is carried IWB in a Lobo offset clip IWB holster. The 642 goes in the pocket using a Simply Rugged pocket holster.

When hunting or otherwise knocking about the woods the 3" 60-4 rides in a Lobo enhanced pancake holster.

Thanks to the insidious influence of that notorious J-frame hound Kaaskop49, I have a "no lock" M&P 340 inbound. How that works into the carry rotation remains to be seen but it should be a hoot to shoot!
