It's obviously an early roach exterminator. Insert the roach in the tri clevis, tighten it, and smack it with a 3 lb. hammer. The wheel allows adjustment for parallax. What do I win?

From the pics, it looks like a model 23 no dash heavy duty. It has a beautiful even patina, and I'm sure you'll be hard pressed to find another one like it. Extremely rare in that condition!

I think it is an artifact found at Cracker Barrel.
He was a carpenter like me and his biggest hobby was working on old cars. There's no telling where he aquired this piece or if he even knew what it is.

Since it has no barrel I'm having a hard time determining what caliber it is..
It's a model 28 whatever it is and that's the only marking on it..
