What the libs don't want you to know about Wal-Mart

Why should a young mother taking care of her family or retired person on a fixed income or anybody else really, not be able to save a few bucks by shopping at Walmart. What's the problem?

this is my attitude for most things in life. I get in "trouble" all the time out here when my wife shows off her wedding ring. Inevitably someone asks if it is a blood diamond. I tell them yes, and that a blood marinade really helps to bring out the shine.

LMAO! Don't worry it probably won't happen again anytime soon. Just marked today on my calender as well but for a different reason. Just shot the best round of golf of my life, a 72! Think I will celebrate by stopping by Walmart to see if they have any 22LR, 9mm or 38's. I doubt they will but the parking lot will be nearly empty and everyone in the store will be friendly. Today I love everybody!

It shouldn't be necessary to point this out but Home Depot etc. do not pay for their employee's healt care, their customers do.

About Wal-Mart being built next to your house, even in Idaho there are zoning laws.

I'd like to live right next door to a WalMart. Do you realize how much storage space I could free up? I'd have a walk in cooler of gigantic proportions for food, a warehouse for clothing, automotive supplies, plumbing & electrical supplies, a deli and a pharmacy right in my back yard. Not to mention a life time supply of beer available 24 hours a day with in crawling distance where I wouldn't even have to worry about getting a DUI going to get. Then there's always ammo on the shelf, gun cleaning supplies, and hunting and fishing equipment. What more could a man ask for? It'd be like heaven on earth. Not to mention on days you just didn't feel like doing anything you could just set out on your back porch with your binoculars and watch the skantly clad young ladies going in and out of the store. Well that is as long as you didn't get one of the local heifers in your line of sight that might possibly blow a lens out of the binoculars or possibly damage your eyes, but what the heck that's the chances ya gotta take.

Wal-Mart filled a niche in the market place. They expanded the average Joe's buying power. Sam is gone and some of his original ideas died with him. But lets face it they have done well over the years. Are they perfect hell no! But who is GM, Ford, Chrysler? You used to get hospital care insurance but the doctor's office call was on you and the insurance got better but the costs went up. Sounds like a free market to me. No Wal-Mart isn't perfect but their plan for the future seems a little better than our so called representative's. When the Messiah from Chicago gets done with us we may all need Wal-Mart. Unless he forces unions down their throats and they are forced to run like the auto industry. As to California...Get of your asses and drill off shore you have billions in storage. Get a grip. Whiny left wing crybaby's. Put some of your gang members to work and forget about Hollywood it ain't the same baby, not no more.

They used to sell handguns. The Walmart stores in Alaska still do. The rest stopped doing so owing to political pressure and bad publicity after a couple of shootings. In one case, a woman purchased a gun at Walmart and the clerk was kind enough to load it for her, since she didn't know how. She then went home and shot her husband. It made the news at the time.

For a time, they simply stopped displaying handguns, but you could order them out of a book behind the counter in sporting goods, but eventually they stopped selling them altogether in the lower 48.

It was usually lower end autos that they sold anyway in many stores.

I get a kick out of all the negative quips regarding WallyWorld selling Chinese imports. Virtually, every store on Main Street sells imports. I defy anyone to find a clothing, knick-knack or general merchandise store that doesn't mostly sell imports. Most electronic stores sell imports be it SONY or whatever brand name. Even your favorite grocery store sells imports. Although WallyWorld is non-union, I've never seen a sign on their door "Hiring inquire within"...

I want to comment on 2loud4yous comment about Wal-mart and the Childrens Miracle Network. Granted it has been a long time since I worked for them, but Wal-mart used to collect donations from their employees and customers. They would then match that amount. They did not try to toot their own horn by claiming customer donations as their own.

I don't know where some people got the idea that Wal-Mart does not offer health-medical insurance to their employees. I used to work there and I had medical insurance. My son works for Lowe's and they medical insurance also, but Wal-Mart's plan has better coverage. Some people don't know what they are talking about
