what type grips for wood? Warning, its a taures!

I kinda inherited this Taures model 605 ss snubby 357 mag, I was wondering what type grips I could put on it, as in wood. It's a rb. I was wondering if any smith stocks would work, the gun to me really looks alotlike some smiths. Thanks for any help as I don't know to much about Taures guns, just don't like the black rubber look. I added a picture with the grips off.

Altamont makes very nice laminated rosewood boot grips for the Taurus small frame RB. Check out gungripsupply.com.

I have a set on my Taurus 85UL and the look great-better than the gun actually..

The model 85 is the "small frame" Taurus.

Hogue makes some good wood grips for the 85, and quite a variety- with and without fingergrooves, checkering optional, boot and full length styles in various woods:

Ajax used to make various grips...and they can sometimes still be found.

Eagle Grips makes versions of the famous "secret service" for it, but according to some, their quality can be spotty:

Herretts makes some wonderful stocks, specificially the "Detective" grips, which I have two on different J-frames, but don't know if they list for Taurus small frames. Their website isn't much help. Here are the "Detective" grips- they are custom fit to your hand- a true custom grip:

Lastly and my favorite, Nill Griffe makes some outstanding grips for them too- but can be a bit pricey. Here are the two styles offered for the Taurus small frame:

I have a pair of Taurus factory wood grips in used condition and have had the finish removed and ready for new finish like Tru-oil. You are welcome to them if they fit. I'll see if I can post a pic tomarrow.
