What unusual/nonstandard calibers do you load?

RCBS .41mag die will not crimp .41spl. If you don't believe me check it or ask anyone who has. You can shorten the crimp die. I'd rather not.

My sincere apologies for stirring the waters. As it turns out
my crimp dies are Redding not RCBS. I have always liked
their TiC carbide dies better than the tungsten most others use.
Looks like we are on the same page after all

The most unique load I have loaded would have to be a request of a freinds daughter after he past away she wanted 12 and 20 ga loads with "DAD" inside he was cremated she gave me some of the ashes I did what I was asked she then gave the loads out to his hunting freinds to place where they remembered Dad on there hunting trips so Dad was still hunting with them.

I'm trying desperately to find some or any reloading info on the .338x74K. Just inherited one and would love to shoot it, but only have two dummy rounds (loaded with 275 gr. bullets and no primers) and a two-die set. No brass, no info on powder, etc. Any help would be a miracle.

If your talking the 338x74 Keith, it is made from the german 9.3x74R cartridge. I believe Ruger chambered the no.1 rifle for it at one time. If you have a copy of Gun Notes Vol 2 it is on page 11. Clymer made the reamer and Huntington(RCBS) made the dies.

This is Keiths original data published in 1971, use at your discretion. I believe the 9.3x74R is a currently produced cartridge, you should be able to find brass for it.

I load the 9.3x74R and Hornady makes decent brass for it.

Norma is usually available too but more expensive and alot of shooters say it's softer(?) than Hornady. I've never used it so I can't say.

Yours is probably just a necked down version w/a blown out case. EK seemed to really like the .338 cal.

Do a search on the caliber and you'll find some info including loads.
It's a rimmed case so fire forming after neckdown to .338 is easy.
