Way back in the early 60's. A well used Colt 1917 revolver. Took 45ACP rounds in half-moon clips. Had a lot of fun with that old revolver... reloads were a buck a box at the local police range.
Colt, 45 auto, Model of 1911 US Army. By the serial number it was made in 1918, and because of it's deep black finish, its know as a "Black Army". Bought it in 1966, for $50. Lucky for me, I've still got it.
Winchester 9422. I was about 14 when they came out and I fell in love. All summer doing odd jobs earned me the $97 price tag. Still my favorite gun today. They literally don't make them like the 9422 anymore.
I had a few before but all bought for me, so I guess my first gun was the 29-3 I bought brand new in 1985. worked for the gun shop for the huge sum of $60 a weeks and paid back $20 of that towards a new 44 magnum. It aint the best gun I have ever owned, but it is still mine some 25 years later. Next to a 74 Winchester I posted another thread on, it would be the last to go.
