What was the inspiration for your Username?

I have been a homebrewer for almost 30 years. When I got my Yahoo email account back in the 90s my favorite style of beer to brew was Alt, so I became altbrewer.

Ben Johnson, a great character actor, played Sgt. Tyree in at least two of the John Wayne/John Ford cavalry movies. The character Tyree was a Captain in the Confederate cavalry at the end of the civil war & then joined the Yankee cavalry for lack of better opportunity at home.
The 1867 came from my estimate of the movies' time frame.
