What was the last NEW S&W you bought and when did you buy it?

two weeks ago I bought a nib S&W 642 38 +p at one gun store, later in the day I bought a Model 29-2 44mag. Earlier this winter I bought a MP 9mm compact and a MP 40cal. compact. so far this year that's 3 new S&W's and 1 new to me S&W. So no more guns for me for awhile(until I see something I need).

Let's see....the last NIB S&W I purchased was back in 1996. I
bought it as my CCW sidearm. I think I paid $300.00. It is a
640-1, and I still use it as my CCW sidearm. It is holstered in
a Bianchi 55L "Lightning" thumb break holster on a Mernickle
plain brown belt and plain brown Mernickle 5 shot ammo belt
slider.

A really nice M&P 40 in 2008. Since then its been all used (to varying degrees). Lots of revolvers and several semis (first, second, third gens).

Well, OK. I only own one S&W that I bought new. I walked into my LGS in 2011, 2012-ish IIRC & found this little guy settin' next to a NIB 4596. Could only afford one & agonized quite awhile before deciding on this 4536. I've been told they only made around 600 of 'em. Another forum member got the 4596.

Mine still hasn't been fired but I bought it in case San Diego ever went shall issue. Looks like I might need to get a holster for it.

got this one about a year or two ago , are we supposed to lament the horrible abomination that is the modern s&w? mine is the best revolver i have or have ever had . very accurate smooth nice trigger.ohhh but its got a lock ohhhh .get over it. my car has seatbelts too and it runs on unleaded fuel.

It's been 3-4 years ago and was an old stock new 357PD. Just prior to that was same deal with a 325PD. Both have been good guns as much as I've shot either.

I bought four new S&W's in the past five years.

Two revolvers and two auto feeders.

A 3" Nickeled Model 36 (Chief's Special Classic), a snub nosed Model 64 (Brinks Special).

An M&P 9C and an M&P 45C.

And I am happy to report that I've had not one single issue with any of them and they all get shot a lot.

I think it was that Japanese overrun 37-2 back in '05 . . .

I bought one like yours about then and have carried it quite a bit too. I wish now I'd bought a couple of them or more as spares.
