deanodog hit on something that kinda applies to me, too. At 57 yoa I have way more guns than a poor ole' country boy with humble beginings ever dreamed of. I shoot all of my guns, but with 3 or 4 favorites some of them get shot very little. I really don't need to increase the total numbers any. The sensible thing for me to do would be to sell or trade a few to get the 2 or 3 that I truly want.
I want another 44 special, a 4 inch gun. I have a 6 and a 5 1/2" and have really become interested in this most versitle caliber. I can see me either trading for or selling something to get one of these.
I have become a nut for 1911's, also. I might have a 9 mm on this platform in the near future. Probably not before the 44 special though.
In long guns I have wanted a SAKO varmint in 222 Remington for a long time. No Garcia gun considered! I've read too many bad things about quality during their time at the helm. I'm subject to buying any 222R caliber rifle that comes along(excepting the Garcia era SAKO).
I also have become a dedicated fan of the 6.5MM family of cartridges. I have a couple including a 6.5X55 Swede caliber Remington 700 Classic. I'm now considering something in 6.5X284 to shoot the long range 1000 yard matches with at my gun club.
So, theres always something going on in a gun nuts mind no matter how old they get. As long as I'm healthy enough to get out and shoot there will be new and different guns on my mind. I'm sure I'm not alone!
