What Would You Want ?

Thanks

I think you may have posted this in the wrong thread.

I went back and carefully read all the posts before yours, and NOBODY said that they "actually believe, that a 911 call, would insure their safety, in a break in of their home, or that the police, are obligated to come, and protect them."[sic]

A few folks mentioned putting a call into 911, but where you got the rest of that is a mystery, unless it was from another thread.

Dave;
I am absolutely sure, that I am posting this post, in the thread, where I want it posted.

Dave;
What would your opinion be, for the reason why, anyone would, or should make a 911 call, when an attempted break in, is discovered in progress? The "911 "emergency Service", was established. To provide help, when needed, from the police, or the fire department. I don't think the "NOBODY" that you speak of, would be questioning whether they would receive help, when making a 911 call. Regardless, I feel a lot better since I received your well needed, and helpful censure. If used, it should help me keep my mouth closed, and listen to the folks that have all of the right answers. I would like to solve your "only" mystery, but obviously, you don't consider me qualified to do so. I won't try.

If my alarm goes off at 3am , my wife grabs her phone and goes in our bathroom while calling 911 even though our alarm alerts them. She is armed also. I have a S@W 66 in my reach, I also wait in our bedroom. My kids are gone. We lock our bedroom door at night. I will not search my house, I stay put. If they should try to break in the door, I feel we have the advantage.

Pre 68 Winchester 1200, Glock 27, and a Taurus 605 on the headboard.

* what is that other thing with wires and cords attached to it?
another SD weapon ??

A full size Glock 22 with night sites, a flashlight, and an extra mag in the night stand serves that duty at my place (oh the shame). Sixteen rounds of 180 grain Federal HST goodness in the gun. It was fairly recently purchased to replace my duty P2000 when I retire in December. I like the Glock better.

My pre-MIM K, L, and N frames have become too valuable and hard to replace to serve in this capacity. They are old friends that I would miss. The Glock, not so much, plus they are stupid reliable, and I could easily go and buy a replacement this morning. Used Glocks in .40 S&W are fairly cheap right now.

YMMV

Any One of the Two of these that I carried all day. When a door or window moves the house alarm goes off. I don’t think anyone will hang around. It’s loud in the house.
