What's a good touch up paint?

I'm a fan, but only used the aluminum black for a couple of small spots, and they have basically disappeared. It's a chemical reaction, so I don't see how it can easily rub off. If it did, I'd just put more on. :) The reviews are mixed, some 5 stars, some 1 star. Works on one weapon, but not the next. YMMV

Could all be in "their" prep before doing it. Some people get in a hurry and skip the in-between things that should be done before starting. Then they complain about it not working right.

I have a bottle of Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black that I'm hoping to never need. It's an acid solution, not a paint, used for scratches & such. Believe it came from Brownells.

Would this be good for the slide of an M&P 22? Mine has some scratches, and I have no idea what caused them.

I'll try the aluminum black since others have said it does work well.|I have some old school BMX bike parts with black anno/scratches and this might be good to restore those parts too. I've use ton of super blue on bike parts over the years.

I think it's cool to have a service weapon with some wear marks, I get that. It's liek battel scars. I've always been anal about everything I've owned since I was a kids. Bike, Cars, Tools, Golf clubs, my home, my lawn, etc.

Take care of your stuff and it will last a lifetime. Take care of your stuff on the battlefield and it will save your life. That's my motto.
