Stuffed Border Burger, taters, corn, onions and asparagus, all cooked on the grill with a cold Blue Moon to wash it all down. The M&P was the only gun I had handy, the rest are buried in the safe, which is buried under a bunch of moving boxes right now.

The only thing that could of made this meal any better is if I could have got the bride to cook it as well, I mean heck she did everything else.

Anything is better when someone else fixes it for you. That all looks good and reminds me I am hungry.

If you had a spare plate could you FedX it to me? That looks pretty darn good. Did you remember you had the asparagus this morning?

Vintage,
I couldn't tell you what all is in the burgers because I don't know. The only thing that sticks out in my mind because it's odd is there are diced black olives in it. The stuffed part comes from taking two equally sized patties and smashing a piece of monterey jack or pepper jack between them and forming them into one patty. The sauce for them is guacamole. They are best served on a hot kaiser roll. Maybe when my bride gets home I'll ask her whats in them.

Bill

Ted, is that where the hangover came from?

I was also all gased up. The bride says I get gas from breathing, I don't know how many times I have woke up with her holding a pillow over my head.

When I ask her, she just says she was trying to help me get rid of the gas.

Nah, that's not overcooked, just a little blackened. I seared it over the fire for a couple of minutes then put it in a dish with some butter and season salt and set it off to the side not over the coals to let it soak in the butter and seasonings.

Asparagus makes my pee smell phunny
Cajun... I noticed a little distress in your shameful confession.

Don't worry! Though the magic of Google, I found an answer concerning your condition.

Dear Worried,

There is nothing wrong with you. Not everyone has smelly urine shortly after eating asparagus, but many do. About half of the population will notice this odor after eating asparagus because of the sulfur-containing amino acids which break down after ingestion.

As archived in the Boston Globe (www.boston.com), below are more details about why asparagus causes urine to have a unique odor:

Sulfur-containing amino acids in asparagus break down during digestion, creating an odor when urine is excreted. "It's the same sulfur group that makes skunks smell," said Barbara Hodges, a dietician with Boston University's nutrition clinic, the Evans Nutrition Group (Hodges cited in Boston.com, 1994).

However, not everyone has the urine odor or perhaps not everyone can smell it. "There's something of a dispute," said Dr. David Stollar, chairman of biochemistry at Tufts University Medical School (Stollar cited in Boston.com, 1994). Some scientists think only half of the population can break down the sulfurous amino acids into their smellier components. Other scientists think that asparagus is digested the same by everyone, but that only half can smell the odor.

The unusual urine smell is nothing to worry about because "the syndrome does not have any pathological significance" (Dictionary of Medical Syndromes cited in boston.com, 1994).

TACO SOUP

1 pound ground chuck or beef, browned and drained
1 small onion, diced
1 can Rotel tomatoes and chiles
1 can Northern beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can shoepeg corn
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 small bottle of taco sauce (I use hot flavored)

Combine all ingredients in large saucepan or crockpot and heat through. Simmer on low for 2-3 hours for best flavor.

To serve:

Line your bowl with Fritos, add soup, then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
