What's for dinner?

Went to a newly discovered Mexican restaurant and had their wet burritos (chicken) with rice and re-fried beans. Mighty tasty and I couldn't eat it all!

Cooking is not among my skill set. I do not care for any aspect of it, other than eating the results. Henceforth I eat out a lot.

Then there's that dishes part. My dishwasher works almost every day! But, I do all the cookin'!
I think I found a couple strip steaks yesterday. They were good. I listened to McCutchen hit #2000 when I was grillin'. Life was good in PGH for the day!

Rusty I see that you like Coors Light. I usually buy Coors
Banquets in snub bottle or can. Last time I accidentally picked
up a 12 pack of Coors Light. It's kinda like making love in a
canoe.

You realize that the Coors horse stable is behind the brewery and almost on the creek feeding the brewery. Worst beer (if One could call it that) ever.

jeffrefrig No I have not made love in a canoe, but what the saying refers
to is making love near water. (Just like Coors Light)

dave1918a2 You are welcome to your opinion and I am welcome to mine.
Sorry if you can't agree with me.

We don't do big meals in the evening very often any more. Once you get past 50 the "standard" big evening meal with red meat is just a ticket to bad cholesterol and too much weight. We keep the last meal small and try to get it eaten by 1800, and most days it involves chicken or fish.

Yeah, I can hear the traditionalists firing up the tar boiler already.
Actually, this is what my Indian (dot, not feather) physician at Bethesda recommended to me many years when I was having a bit of trouble with GERD. Said I needed to be vertical after big meals, and figured that would work best at noon, with a lighter supper. Seemed to work.

I've been on a roll for the past several weeks. Today I'm grilling up some ribeye fillets and chicken thighs with tater tots and mixed veggies.

Yesterday I made mussels, shrimp and clams with broccoli and carrot shreds over pasta with a garlic butter sauce.

Before that I've cooked chicken and dumplings, smoked pork ribs, chicken alfredo, Pad Thai, teriyaki stir-fry and about a dozen more nice meals. I've got brisket and pulled pork yet to go, along with homemade pizza if I decide to fire up the outdoor pizza oven.

To answer your question, Yes, we are emptying out the freezer in the garage - one meal at a time!
