Although I use disposable razors, I only want, at the MOST two blades. Gets me shaved and "clean cut".
I only shave when my cheeks and/or neck start to itch enough to bother me, so these 3 or 4 blade razors clog up quickly and tend to "pull" more than "cut".
Why can't I find any single or double blade razors anymore?

Schick single injector, Gillette Trak II, Schick Hydro 3. The old blades are out there you just have to look for them. Personally I like the Schick Hydro 3 for comfort and cost. The three blade Gillette is good too, but costs too much.

Try dollar shave club for the double blades...they will give you first month free for asking..cost about 3 bucks a month and I shave 6 days a week...I'm the same as you I can't use more than 2 blade rigs...theirs are Good.

Been using the gillett trac II for over 35 years now.

Buy my refills on ebay for half of the store price if you can find them. They are a two blade shave.

Some multi blade heads are quite good. I sometimes need to finish a tough shave well, especially if I've gone for a week or two without shaving.

Use disposable razors from the grocer, backed up by more expensive razors as needed.

But razor refills are ridiculously expensive, like many prescription drugs. Just raw profiteering...and I don't want to buy Online or join a club.

Who knows about Harry's razors? All I can find is sponsored by them, hardly an objective look.

shave when we are going out, or to a friends gettogrther. use a trimmer when like ^^^^^ the itching is past dealing with. although shampooing the beard growth w/ headandshoulders takes away the itch. shaveing almost sounds like cutting the headges w/ elec. trimmers. the 3 & 4 blade shavers are a 1 stroke, have a container w/ water in it to try and get the shaved hair out of the razor. looked for a single 2 sided blade the other day, not. bought a pack of 2 blade throw aways. glad I saw this thread, just thought the companys were not making good blades anymore.

+1 on Amazon.

If you're a Gillette Trac II or Atra user, Amazon has a deal for you: [ame]https://www.amazon.com/Personna-Pivot-Blades-Trac2-Razors/dp/B00954O15C/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1483428469&sr=8-2&keywords=atra+razor+blades[/ame]

That's right, $11.89 for 100, count 'em, 100 blades! That's about 10% of the normal retail price. I bought some a couple of years ago, figuring that if I only got a couple of shaves per blade, I'd still come out ahead. But guess what, they're just as good as Gillette's. I have a heavy beard, and I get 10-14 days worth of shaves per blade, just as I did with the Gillette version.

These are made by Personna, a reputable blade manufacturer. If you're old enough, you might remember their tv ads from the '60s where an attractive young Swedish woman encouraged men to "Take it all off!" with Personna blades.

Now if Amazon would only sell quality ammo for 10% of retail...

I buy a pack of 4 disposable at Kroger for $3.99. I shave every day & I get at least a month out of each one. I'm cheap!

Other than for a hand full of years while in College when I switched to a Gillette Trac ll I have always and still use a Double Edge Razor with a good ole' fashioned DE Blade. You can still get quality DE Blades for 12 to 15 cents a blade (come in 100 packs for $12 - $15 bucks) and last a long time.

I have 5 or 6 Double Edge Razors (one that was my Dad's from the 40's and one that I bought when I was 16) which I routinely rotate. I also have 3 different Badger Shaving Brushes and a few old soap mugs. There are a plethora of different soaps available although my 2 Fav's are Col. Conk's Almond and Proraso Green.

West Coat Shaving is the best and least expensive source I know of for just about all your shaving needs. The Golden Nib (TGN) is your best source for highest quality Knots (Badger brushes) if you are into making your own brushes.

I bought into the Harry's razors back in November. Used a Gillette Trac II forever that worked well but blades are scarce. Started using a Gillette Fusion some 10 years ago when I started shaving my head (hair was going and I saw no need to fight it).

Now I'm not a really hairy guy and my beard isn't overly thick but I would definitely say the Harry's razors last about as long as the Gillette Fusion for well under 1/2 the price. I could easily use a single or double blade for my face however the 5 blade does much better on my head. The Harry's are good and if you like that style of blade they're well worth the money.

Just for fun i tried an old safety razor and one blade for as long as i could.
Did two shaves (face) and then honed the blade in one of my "blade saver's"

Worked like a charm for weeks :D
