What's the most elegant S&W you own?

Wow there are some really beautiful revolvers here, I don't have any wheel guns that would even compare to any of them. I am a huge fan of the classic wheel guns I don't have any wheelies that I can put up in this company.

That being said everyone that fires my 686-4 6" has to have one, but the picture can't compare to many already listed. It isn't unique, while it fills most of the criteria it's just a plane jane 686.

However the one gun that I do have that fills the bill of the OP is my original 1st gen Shorty 40, this gun was made for me. It is by far my favorite piece.

My 1961 Model 10. It's never been fired since leaving the factory. Very deep bluing and diamond wood stocks.

I never thought of a 3.5" Model 27 as being "elegant," unless a bloody nose would be considered "elegant."

Blued Model 19 with 2 1/2" barrel and ivory stocks. My daughter picked out the stocks years ago, and claimed it as hers then. It has not been fired since, living its life as a safe queen. It is her 21st birthday present. Sorry no pictures, beats me how to do it.

Though this chopped 25-2 is my favorite shooter . . .

And the sleek K-frames are cool too, this one with Grashorn's Elk Stags too . . .

Not very elegant but very practical if you are in a big war, the Victory model. I do have a nice Model 27, 17-3, and 1917 but can't take decent pictures to do them justice.

Here's my criteria for "elegance":

1. Functional. Practical for its intended purpose.
2. Well-engineered and executed well in manufacture.
3. Esthetics. It's gotta be pretty.
4. When others see it, they wanta have one also!
5. Pristine. Gotta be in excellent or better shape.

For me, one of my Smiths stands out above all the others. It gets the Academy Award for Elegance for me. This is a Model 27-2, with a 3 1/2" barrel, blued, shipped in September, 1978. Target hammer and trigger, white outline rear sight, red ramp front, target stocks. I think it meets all of the above criteria.
You probably have a favorite for "most elegant Smith & Wesson" in your collection. What would it be?

My Model 24-6 in 44Spcl, 6.5-inch barrel, nickel finish would be my favorite, hands down. Beautiful and a lot more accurate than I am.

To me, my M58, fits all the criteria listed. There is just something about a fixed sight N frame with magnas on it. These magnas are from Patrick Grashorn.
