What's the most you will pay for a 1000 rounds of brass case, FMJ 9mm ammo?

The poll tops out $700 because if you are willing to pay that much you can do so right now.

Based on previous shortages I expect once the panic buying subsides sometime next year prices will fall to $240 - $300 by the start of 2022 and then slowly taper down towards less than $200 over another year or two. Unless something else happens. That "something else", whatever it may be, factor is why I intend to start buying at the $250 or $270 price level instead of waiting for lower prices.

At least that is my plan right now. Things change.

$220 right when Covid numbers was gearing up.

I had acquired a lot more when it was $150 and $170 a case though. When I was practicing for competing I was shooting 200-300 a week.

I'd like to he "that guy" bragging about how cheaply I roll my own with my cast bullets. But the cost of primers has kind of negated that little argument. So I'll vote $170 max and say that I'll go back to revolvers where I can make my own black powder, apparently can re-make my own primers (another thread) and cast my own bullets.

I always like revolvers better anyway. Less ammo overall and no chasing brass all over creation.

I just did some figuring and I am paying $0.07 a shot for .38 Special target loads that I reload for myself. Can keep this up for many, many years.
