Greetings, All,
My wife and I are very deep into Living History reenacting, and my persona is that of an 18th century Chirurgian (surgeon). I have a very large period medical kit, with close to 200 original medical implements from the 18th, and the early 19th century, and have most all of the original medical books from those days. After all my years of studying such things, I have now offered period medical seminars at events, schools, Historical Societies, Historical sites, and many other places, to teach true medical history to any and all interested parties. It's grown into a never-ending passion in my life, as there is always something new to learn, and some "new" implement to seek out and add to my kit! So many folks, many of whom don't even know my actual name, just call me "Doc", of "Doc Mark", and so that name has stuck with me for many years! Fun! I'll post a few photos of my presentations for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, where I have been hired do setup my camp and work with kids for four days, each year, for many years. Very satisfying, and rewarding!! I have worked at the Reagan, Colonial Williamsburg, Forts Niagara and Ticonderga, NY, Fort DeChartres, IL, and tons of other places, over the years I've been doing what I do, and it's one of the best undertakings I've ever attempted. Take care, and God Bless!
Every Good Wish,
Doc
