, , , the back corner off the grip on 1911 pistols? Seems like the latest 'gotta do it' craze. Kimber actually rounded theirs and it looks a little better.

I'll be leaving my 1911s as is.

You mean the "bobtail"? It's been around for quite a while, actually; Ed Brown originated it, if I'm not mistaken

It very slightly aids in preventing printing when carrying concealed.
I like the look, myself.
 
It prints slightly less than an A1 arched MSH. IMO not a huge difference from a flat MSH. Lookwise, I prefer Brown's bobtail over Kimber's version.
 
Yea, I'm not sure about it either. Thought it was kind of a cool idea at first. But the more I look at it, I don't think I like it. Just gives the gun a 'different' look to me. I'm with you mkk41, I'll keep mine as-is.

don't care for round butts

I had a Brown bobtail, got rid of it, I have big hands, long, and prefer a square butt, whether on a pistol or a revolver...
