What's Up with Online Gun Prices???

I can see several factors to these high prices. Of course the election, but prices were already pretty high. The MSRP of a new Model 10, I think, is about $700, of course you can get one cheaper. Well, the old pre-lock ones that are EX-VG may be a little more than that, and one with a pinned barrel,(which now is 30 years old!) will be a little higher, and one with diamond grips will be higher, and a pre-10 will be higher and so on. Online guns auctions have made our world a lot smaller, we can shop for guns all over the country by point and click. But before that, gun prices were local. A gun in Texas would be a lot cheaper, than one in Michigan, for example. Well then the folks in the states where the prices were high, start bidding for guns where they weren't. Then the prices go up everywhere. They aren't made anymore. A Model 28, just an old cop gun, is a collectors piece? I got one on one of the auctions, with some minor blue wear, a couple of scratches and rubber grips, for $420 TMD, and that's still a little high to me. I also won a 95% pre-war .32 RP for $325 TMD, and a Model 65-3 for $350 and I had to pay tax on it too, so if you are patient, you can find fair deals. I still can't get used to J-frame .22s being over $400.
