What's with people trying to run up their post counts?

I got in with my pitiful post count.

But we have the Masters Golf Tournament and the Masterbaiters Fishing Tournament the first full week of April every year -- what a traffic mess!

I got a Colt's Shooting Master revolver in 38 Special. Made in 1928, same year my father was born and it also has 28 in the serial number twice. It's in great shape for being 80 years old. It's one that will be more of a safe queen than a shooter.
They are in the New Service family of revolvers and have the adjustable sights used at that time.

Joni, first of all congrats! Shooting Masters are about as good as a revo gets.

Now I am no expert, and am away from my books, but I think 1928 is mighty early for a Shooting Master...

Maybe you have a New Service Target? Does it say "Shooting Master" on the bbl?

I like new guns (even 80 year old new guns). I like imagining what it would be like to have a safe full of new-old guns! I rarely buy new-new guns. Have never bought a new-new S&W...but I did buy two new-new Ruger NM Flattops this spring. Pretty hard to shoot a Ruger .44 Special unless you buy a new one!
Congrats Joni.

I can't tell how many pages this is now, because I changed my settings for the maximum size on this nifty new forum software. So my benchmark is gone. It is only 9 pages that way.

I want my rifle back. It got to Smith and Wesson yesterday, surely they've fixed it up and sent it back by now.

I got 4 fillings and a root canal yesterday. Yum, Yum.

bricker,
With no remorse what-so-ever I have unabashedly stolen your reply and added it to my signature line...it was too good to pass by...had not heard that one in quite some time.

Thanks.

Bob

I have a tooth waaay in the back thats bugging me a bit. Anyone have any experience removing a tooth on their own?

USAF,

First let me Thank You Sir for your service.

I've pulled a few of my own...But then again, I've been known to fall asleep durin' a root-canal once, a couple of times.

As my grand paw used to say,"A man that can't pull his on teeth or shoot his own horse...well he ain't much good to himself."

Su Amigo,
Dave
