I always liked "Twenty Six Men"

This is the story of twenty six men. Twenty six men who lived to ride again. This is the story of twenty six men who rode the Arizona Territory. Ride on, Ride on.

I've never seen the series but, it is out on DVD. I'll have to get this one too.

"The Tall Man," with Barry Sullivan as Pat Garrett and Clu Gulager as Billy the Kid. It was not much of a theme, just some cool electric guitar chords, but I always liked listening to it as an 11 y.o.

Shield #5

This series is also out but, I'm not sure if its an official release on not?

"The Texan", with Rory Calhoun. Not much on lengthy opening music, but one of the best TV westerns.

I always felt that Calhoun should have played Matt Helm in the movies, not Dean Martin.

I recently watched the entire srperies and its a pretty good show. Had lots of great guest stars in it and a few episodes were even written by Louis L'Amour. The theme was OK but not one I can him if I wanted to but, Tombstone Territory's theme is fantastic.

Many of these TV shows, I've never seen or never saw more than a few episodes of. I'm going to have to collect them as released. I want more Cheyenne and I want the one with the four Texas Rangers in it, the name escapes me but, it had Neville Brand and Phil Carey in it.

That would be Laredo.
Since no one has said it yet, Wyatt Earp. And one of the Disney westerns "Texas" John Slaughter. "Texas John Slaughter made 'em do what they oughter, and if they didn't they died." The Wild, Wild West.

Arthur Fieldler and the Boston Pops did an album many years ago of western songs called Pops Roundup. It opens with a medley of tv theme songs including Bonanza, Maverick, The Rebel, Have Gun, Will Travel, Wyatt Earp, Rawhide, etc. I played the cd for years and now have it on my iPhone. Six and one half minutes of pure pleasure. Listening to it now.

Another great set of CDs featuring a lot of the mentioned, comes from Rhino Records. They have a four CD set which I picked up many moons ago, called; Songs of the West. Most are the original released versions. I heard they had a 2nd set, but I've never checked into them yet.

Ah much gracias. I always get its title mixed up with another.

I also enjoyed jungle adventure shows. Irish McCalla from Sheeba Queen of the Jungle had a lot to do with my lust for blonde independent women!

Oh, I also liked the theme from Bonanza.

Irish McCalla was quite tall, I think close to six feet. You can find some interesting pics of her on the Net, some as Sheena. TV episodes may be on YouTube.

Your spelling confused "Sheena" of the Jungle with an ancient Arabian area queen, Sheba, who was a wealthy female monarch of her time. She met with the Jewish king Solomon, I believe.

During the 1950's, an explorer named Wendell Phillips more or less followed in Dr. Roy C. Andrews's tracks, but went after traces of Sheba's queendom, rather than exploring in China and Mongolia, as did Andrews. Both relied a lot on Colt handguns and Savage rifles and Dodge cars.

I read a book by Phillips, but can't recall the title. Did anyone else here read that? You can probably Search him on the Net. The book is quite good, with nice photos.

Several actresses have played the unrelated Sheena, on both TV and in films.

Not a Western, but if you like the Revolution, Disney's, "The Swamp Fox" series is on YouTube. I just watched the first episode.

Was interested to see that Col. Tarleton's British dragoons were in green coats. Other British troops wore the usual red, Lobsterbacks.

This is about Col. Francis Marion, an American guerilla warfare hero in S. Carolina in the 1780's.

There's been so many it's hard for me to recall just every one of them but I do believe that theme from "Wagon Train" with Ward Bond and Clint Eastwood called Rawhide I think would be up there near the top. I also like the theme from "Paladin: Have Gun Will Travel"

I grew up to all these shows. I think my favorite themes were Maverick, Have Gun, Will Travel, and Gene Autry.

Yes, a great CD, I have the same also, really good. Another good album is Welcome to the Ponderosa by Lorne Greene. Some wonderful western-not country-music on it including the words to Bonanza and the Saga of the Ponderosa which explains the arrival of all the Cartwrights. Unfortunately, have never seen it on CD, so I treasure my vinyl version.

I was going to mention Wild, Wild West also. Like soFlaNative, it was something I grew up with, along with the The Wagon Train theme and Frankie Laine singing Rawhide are favorites also.

However the grandaddy western theme of all, though from the movies, not TV, has got to be Theme from Magnificent Seven:
