I buy most of my stuff at Walmart, but sometimes, you need a source for your oddball stuff. Where do you get your best prices and service?

Up until recently I was ordering ammo from CheaperThanDirt. Recently, however, I ordered CCI Tactical .22lr from CTD. When I received them the three 375 round boxes of CCI Tactical were all broken open and the rounds strewn throughout the inside of the shipping carton. I contacted CTD but was told that I could either ship the entire carton back and wait for them to re-ship... or I could count the rounds to make sure that none had been lost in shipment. Needless to say I ended up counting 1125 rounds of .22lr that night...

Since then I started buying from Ammo to Go. Just recently, however, I needed to order more 9mm and .22lr ammo. I figured out my costs from Ammo to Go and then compared the cost (including shipping) with the cost of ordering from Natchez Shooters Supply and Cabela's. I ended up ordering from Natchez as they were close to $50 cheaper. Don't think that'll be the case every time I order but, for the time being, I think I'm just going to select a few vendors and compare prices...

I get most of my stuff from Sportsmans Guide. If you join their "club" you get 10% off each purchase, plus they regularly have free shipping events. They also give you a $10 coupon with each order. Best prices I have found on a lot of stuff. For example, I shoot a lot of .32's, and the Fiocchi 100 grain wadcutters are $14.22 per box of 50. Good customer service and fast shipping, never had a problem.

Another vote for Ammunition to go.
Good prices, in-stock, fast shipping and Blue Bell ice cream.

What's not to like !! :):):)

Don't really have a "go to" ammo supplier any longer. With so many suppliers out of certain popular cartridges, and the wide variance in what they charge for ORM ground shipping, I have found for me it pays to shop around. I'll often break the price down to cost per round delivered to my door, and make a decision based on those assessments.

I recently bought a case (20 boxes of 50) of Federal American Eagle .38 Special 158gr LRN for under $13 per box. Because I bought a case, delivery was free. That worked out to less than 26 cents a round. The very cheapest I can get .38 Special ammo at WalMart (when they have it :() costs me over 40 cents a round. Many online vendors sell that same American Eagle round for $20 or more and charge shipping on top of that.

I found the source for that particular case of ammo by doing a search online and not stopping after I had seen all the usual suspects pop up. This particular outfit was called Target Sports USA. I had never heard of them before, but the extra 15 minutes I put in paid off for me. Target loads are a commodity. I'll get them where they're cheapest.

SGAMMO...good prices and give you shipping costs up front. Fast service and they send you tracking information. I rarely use anyone else anymore...

You just have to look for it because you can find deals
that are not listed in the ammo search engines listed above.

Good Supplier

I think it would be impossible to find anyone better than Steve at Freedom Ammunition. Good prices, excellent communication.

I also like SGAMMO though I use TARGET SPORTS USA for some ammo as their price includes shipping on case volume buys- the only problem with TS- they don't have live inventory so I've had orders cancelled due to sell outs.
