What's your "last gun of the year"?

Here is the last gun purchase of 2011 for me. A model 57, serial S 299638.

STOP RIGHT THERE!....you can't top that!

My last for the year was a model 29-2 W/ 8-3/8s" Barrel.
The Mrs suprised me with the info on it while I was on duty on Christmas Eve,

As of right now, and there are still 4 shopping days left until 2012, my last, and one of the top purchases, is this mint 27-2 3 1/2" that I bought from a fellow forum member last week. Wow....just wow:)

It's a Colt, I hope I am forgiven. When I get some time for a range visit I am going to do a shooting comparison with it vs. my 1927 Smith & Wesson M&P .38 Target Model. I had been looking for one of these for a while. Now if I can find one in .22 caliber....

Benelli 12ga. It's a Model M3 auto/pump combo with a pistol grip. I have a set of nite sites yet to be installed and I put on a 2 shot extension making it 7+1. Not a handgun, but I felt the cool factor was right up there, plus the price was right. Something to keep my 1100 tac4 from getting lonely.

I did not intend for this one to become my last gun of the year, but it called to me and I could not resisit.

Well it really wasn't a gun but I bought a Ciener 1911/22 Platinum Cup Target conversion off of GB, couldn't pass it up for the price and what came with it. I may be putting an AR on layaway before the years ends as well.

You are forgiven, but that may not count for much as it is another occasional Colt sinner who forgives you.

Colt didn't always build a gun right, but when they did there was absolutely zero room for improvement. The prewar Officers Models are some of the best target revolvers ever made.

If you happen to find two OM .22s, tell me about the one you don't take. :D

Year isn't over yet. Either a Sig 1911-22 or the lower cost but identical GSG 1911-22. If I do not get one of those
the default position is held by my grandfathers H&R Small Frame Hammerless in .32 S&W that he bought in
a barber shop in 1929.

I love my Sig 1911-22. Can't go wrong with either.

Last Gun of the Year

I got this one about a week and a half ago.
Sig P239 in .357 Sig.
I've got a .40 barrel for it on the way to me, also.
As long as I stay out of the gun shops until the 1st of Jan. this should be my last gun of the year.

I though my last gun of 2011 was going to be the 60-7 snub I picked up a few weeks ago. Today I stopped at the LGS exactly one mile from my abode to see if they had any LeverRevolution 44 ammo. Nope, so I started to browse the fairly thin used handgun selection and spied this Model of 1917 'Classic' 22-4 .45 ACP. 5.5 inch. Nuts! a gun on my shooter list. Traded off a nearly new Ruger SP-101 3 inch and some cash. The counterfeit combat grips are my addition as I find the 1917 reproduction grips way too small for my XL mitts!

Got one several years ago and ain't fired it yet. Bought it used/unfired. The original owner hard-chromed the slide and barrel and stuck on some Trijicons. $580+tax/bc, couldn't pass it up. Later I aquired about a dozen or so factory new mags for it on clearance for $8 apiece. Probably my best deals ever.

I have fired the 357 sig in a Glock and really like it. Thing I like about this little Sig is, it is a sweetheart to tote around, unlike 10mms that start to feel like a boat anchor on my hip after a while.

My only sister, bless her heart, wanted to buy me a gun for Christmas. She asked the counter guy for something unusual:

WARNING - CRAPPY CELL PHONE PICTURE ALERT.

This is my favorite (and only) partially gold colored Taurus. Its not something I would probably pick for myself, but it means a lot since it came from my sister.
