Just received a gun bought as used and found it to be an unfired, prelock 617-2, bead blast, and at a great price too. Shot it yesterday and feel like I have a first class target gun, although I'm not ready to show pictures of my targets. 
I have plenty of .22LR saved from a few years ago, but not enough to install my AR conversion kit.

Hi, Got enamored with a picture on a web site auction of a S&W Model 24-3 , 3" Has real stag grips with S&W logo in gold, and fully engraved. Adjustable sights rear with red ramp front. Pistol is unfired with no ring at all. I saw another S&W pistol on a site that was a different model, but same engraving. The add for this other pistol called it a Factory "A" level job. Mine however ( yep, I bought it) has S&W logo on the right side? Work seems very high quality. The grip side end point of engraving appears to fit the stock contours of the orig. Lew Horton smooth wood ones I've seen on this site and the net? No red lined box came with mine as it had no box or papers.
My serial number is ALA26XX. Would this pistol fall into the Lew Horton run of 24-3, 3"? Could it be in the first 100 of serial numbered engraved guns in blue? Or, is it a Lew Horton series gun returned to shop for A, engraving? I have my fingers crossed! I'm new to forum so ask for patience with the newbe.

Was fortunate to pickup this revolver today. It's a fully engraved with stag grips with S&W Logos that I think were added to frame after engraving. S&W logo on right side, but engraving almost identical to an "A" model on the net. I'm guessing its a Lew Horton series but don't know much more yet. No box or papers came with it. I'm going to send for a letter tomorrow from S&W. Bought it to carry but has no ring at all on cyl. and if "A" engraving it will be hard to toss shells in it for first time?

642 Pro, last year.
Installed a set of CT grips, it's been my EDC ever since. Use the DeSantis 113, with a small cutout hole in the side to accommodate the laser.

S&W A22. Lots of fun to shoot. Nothing to shoot 500/1000 rounds every time you go to the range.

As far as "new-new" goes, a Model 69:
With the usual S&W 3 round test fire. It has been quite satisfactory.
Have a 625 PC in the works, mostly because I stumbled upon ~7500 LSWC bullets for a very reasonable price recently. The super short cylinder on the PC was intriguing, and it passed the "hands on" inspection, so will do some back to back testing against the 625JM.

I interpreted the thread title to mean ANY brand new revolver, not just a S&W. I rarely buy a brand new S&W wheelgun anyway and generally prefer ones with pinned barrels and other of the older features. My latest brand new revolver is a Charter Arms "Classic" Bulldog in .44 Special. This is very similar to the original Bulldog with the tapered barrel and no ejector rod shroud. The box label said it had wood grips, but the one I received had rubber. I round some wood grips on GB and they are now installed on my Bulldog. The finish is polished blue except on the cylinder, which is more of a matt blue finish. I wish they had polished it too, I'm not sure the why or wherefore of this. Anyway, the price was right and I although they were announced by Charter, I believe they were produced only on a limited basis. I plan to shoot and carry mine so it won't be a gun safe queen.

I finally obtained my first 45 ACP revolver a week ago after wanting and looking for about a year. I was shopping 'used' but ended up finding an older, new beauty. It is a 625-7 Performance Center, 5" barrel, only test fired by S&W in June 2001 when I baught it. I've had it out to shoot a couple times and have put about 10 moonclips of 230 gn FMJ through it so far. I like it alot! Pics and simple range report to appear soon.
Last brand-new revolver I purchased was a Model 29 in 1982. Newest revolver I have is a 696, I'm second or third owner on that. Or maybe the Aussie 10-11?
