What's your round of choice?

Federal 550 is my favorite but wincester555 minimag or any other copper plated round seems to work. The only round I had some issues with was golden bullets.

Probably the CCI AR Tactical for me for plinking at 25-50 yards but they have seemed somewhat limited in availability.

I've had really good luck w/ the Aguila Super Extras and they are relatively cheap and seem to be consistently in stock through MidwayUSA.

Mine had done a very good job of cycling everything I've fed it in ~ 4500 rounds so far (CCI MiniMags; Federal Bulk, AM22, and Champion; Winchester Super X PP in addition to the above) my preference is mainly just around what seems to be more consistent grouping w/ the CCI Tactical and Aguilas.

I think I'd stay w/ my 9mm Hornady Critical Duty for HD but if I was trying to kill/disable something w/ the 15-22 I'm thinking I'd probably go w/ the MiniMags or SuperX out of what I have sitting around.

I think the restriction on Stingers is just for the Performance Center model and is due to the length of the cartridge rather than the velocity, but could be wrong.

I've seen the Aguila rounds on Midway but had not heard anything about it. Everywhere around me is just cleaned out of .22LR. I'll buy what I can find for now and look for some nicer stuff when all this settles down. Thanks again, guys!

cci minimags have been good but little expensive
blazer bulk has been good along with federal.

ive been able to find blazer and federal bulk lately so no need to try anything else, so far.

You are correct!

That makes sense. Thanks for the help gentlemen. I did read the manual cover to cover and thought all the CCI were cool for my compliant model.

Now I need to find some of those Aguila 60gr to try!

Cci mini mags best shooting and cleanest i found

Another CCI mini mags fan here.
My pc loves them and over here they are very good value for money compared to other .22 lr rounds. We don't get bulk containers in the UK so it's all expensive compared to what you guys pay.
Over here 500 mini mags set me back £35.00 with tax !

ATB.

Just picked up a bulk pack of mini mags, tactical, and some stingers just to try out. Nobody has any of the 500+ bulk around here. Closest thing was the tactical that Wally just got in today.

I shot a bunch of CCI min-mags yesterday. First time I fired the rifle so I don't have any experience with any other manufacturer just yet. The min-mags worked great and were accurate, but there were a couple stove pipes. I think that was more an issue of how the round was situated in the mag than an issue with the round itself.

federal or blazers usually run well for plinking or casual target shooting for defense if you can find them aguila 60gr sub sonic snipers they have 50 percent more lead, good expansion and hit like a sledge hammer(i use these in my carry)

I thought the owner's manual says do NOT use subsonic rounds... maybe the aguilla is an exception...

I have had good luck with the Federal 510B as well as the Federal Bulk & also good luck with the CCI Mini Mag,I personally avoid Remington Rimfire Ammo & I think the 15-22 Manual does not recommend using Remington.

I use blazers when I can find them they have been hard to find for about a year now so I bought a few boxes of federal from Walmart I have shot only a few mags of them but shoot great so far

Some of you are saying you use Remington Gold. In the manual it says to avoid those.... o.0?

It's a recommendation in the manual, nothing more nothing less. Some folks have had problems and others shoot it with no problems. Each rifle is a law unto itself as to what ammo it likes or doesn't like. It shoot OK in mine, but is dirty. If it was the only thing I could lay my hands on, I'd shoot it without hesitation.

I called Cabela's today. They will get the Federal Bulk with dry boxes ( 2100rd ) back in stock end January
