Today I had to go to the pharmacy and the grocery store. But first, I needed massage therapy after cutting and moving firewood yesterday. There’s no closet or cubby to put your clothes in, just a chair to lay them on. Pocket carry was fine, but I can’t think of any other viable approach.

All depends on rules of establishment where you are getting the therapy. If you can keep it in pocket, and never reveal it, well.

Just leave it in your coat pocket folded on the chair.Zip pocket if that's an option so it can't fall out when you pick up the jacket.Man bag of some sort that you don't forget you brought with you when you leave.

Ah yes, that Obamacare mandate that any healthcare provider who takes $1 of Medicare or Medicaid must be a “gun free zone”. No, I would not carry into an establishment like that no matter how discreetly. However, that’s another advantage of pocket carry. It’s easy to take out of your pocket and hide in your vehicle if you are going into somewhere it is illegal to carry. This therapist doesn’t take insurance or credit cards.
