Where Are The Ladies

Well since we're all talking what are the women ccw packing today?

Well I keep the H&K USP C .40 in my purse and I have the 638 on my person (no lock of course!). If I am going to be on a longer outing and want to lighten the purse then I switch it out to the 638 and now I will have the glock 42 on me.

Why these you may ask? Because I don't want to ruin my 3913LS!!!! So I let the others take the abuse and I preserve my baby girl!

If I was to CCW pack (haven't quite reached that point yet), I would be packing my S&W M60-Lady Smith. Just can't decide on a holster though

Same here. Love the 60LS! Unfortunately for it me it's more a matter of carrying not really being an option due to location.

My 30 year old niece received her permit about 6 months ago. She carries daily.
I must thank Uncle Lab for that.;)

Most guys would not want to compete with her and her S&W 4013TSW, she can shoot.

Labworm, If I were twenty five years younger or she was twenty five years older I would ask for an introduction. A lady that shoots a Model 4013TSW I would have something in common with, as I have two of my own.

I've been going through the holster blues too. I have 2 carry purses, one large and one small. Switched to the large one all the time even when I've got my 640 on me just so it's my natural purse. Both of mine are from Gun Toten Mama's ?sp?

For on-body (my preferred method) I'm finding a Bianchi OWB holster is working well for most pants with waistband a bit lower than natural waist but not really low.

Still trying to find a decent IWB holster for those pants with a waist that is much higher, at my natural waist.

I basically almost never wear dresses or skirts so haven't had to deal with carrying then but figure the purses will cover me in those occasions.

BLESS YOUR HEART:

1: phrase used by Southern women to excuse themselves for speaking ill of someone else.

2: an expression of sympathy or pity.

3: a polite way to respond to an ignoramus, particularly male, who showers upon you flattering but unwanted compliments.

:D :D
Prior to service in the Army the bless your heart was the only thing I had but thanks to my military service I now have a wide variety of descriptive adjectives in 5 languages to draw upon if the need arises. So much for my upbringing.

Fluent profanity in several languages is a wonderful thing. Great for controlling one's blood pressure.

But as a Tennessee native, I do love the gently wicked "Bless his heart, that boy means well..." :D

I didn't know that there was a difference between people as long as they are S&W lovers. Then the yankee thing was brought up. So there really is a couple difference between us. Not just the old farts section which I am now a member and the Yankees. Women among the mix I hadn't noticed but then again I wasn't looking. Sorry.

I've been lurking. Now that the holidays travels and parties are done...it's springtime. Which means not only is it musical performance time it's *^#%^@$*% standardized testing time, bless their little hearts.

Also, I took a chance on an at risk kid and it backfired. Bless his heart.

Had a fantastic time at the music educator's conference in San Antonio last week when I was mistaken for a colleague's former student by his current coworkers. Said colleague and I are same age. Made my day, bless his heart.

I've been finagling an instrument so that my daughter can audition for the Marine Band after all...She is still in the program but the jobs she wants just aren't opening up...so "mom can you get me a bassoon?" No problem! Bless her heart.

I've put off 30 hours of PD that I have to have done by Monday and have been late nighting for the past few days taking online tests over material on how to teach gifted and talented students in the general classroom. This has very little application in my world, and I could use these 30 hours to actually work on ...I dunno, maybe some FINE ARTS TRAINING??? Bless HISD's heart.
