here !!!

I'm here !!!

I have not actually contributed any input (being too much of a newbie), but have benefited greatly from reading so many informative and charming posts. I guess that makes me some sort of female lurker

Just wanted to check in and let you know that at least I am out here.

Well how about a good Chocolate Cake or Cookie recipe?

I think we would all enjoy that kind of contribution.

Well.... bless your heart ;)

You actually think that I am capable of baking cakes and cookies :D:D:D:D:D:D

BLESS YOUR HEART:

1: phrase used by Southern women to excuse themselves for speaking ill of someone else.

2: an expression of sympathy or pity.

3: a polite way to respond to an ignoramus, particularly male, who showers upon you flattering but unwanted compliments.

:D :D

DamnYankee, You just show us why the women don't speak up. Bless your heart .

I'm pretty sure he was teasing. Tsk, tsk...Damn Yankee! :D

I miss Linda's superb gun photos, and Lady Fed and others seem not to post.

What became of 1911 girl (?), the Scot living in Spain? She made some really good posts with fine photos of southern Spain. She liked Glock, but I think we forgave her shortcomings in that regard. ;)

thank you

JayCeeNC, thank you for the welcome. I have been more or less lurking for several months, have posted very little. I have to admit to being somewhat intimidated by the wealth of knowledge and obvious comraderie amongst many of the gentlemen who inhabit these forums. I feel unworthy so I listen and try to learn.
I'm in Sanford, transplanted 35 years ago from NY.
Love to shoot, love my wheel guns. Glad to be here.

KTP, welcome from the R.T.P. area. Glad you are here, and apparently don't need anyone to take up for you. Ya going to fit in just fine.

Wealth of knowledge? Is that the southern way to say, "I didn't want to bust you out on all your BS"?

Nonsense. No need to feel intimidated.

Most of us don't know ****.

We just look like we do because we have a copy of Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 3rd Edition. Any info we post, we just looked it up in the book. ;)

:D :D :D :D

We're glad to have you here. ;)

Something about that.... Female lurker, it doesn't sound all that bad for some reason.

If you travel south....

By definition,If DamnYankee moved to the South from up North and stayed, then he is and forever shall be a "damn Yankee". I know this because I are one too. Bless his heart :p

Lets get this straight. If a northerner travel south, they are just plain 'Yankees'. If they stay then they are "Damn Yankees".:D:D:D

I am here. I do not just make a point of being a female because some folks tend to get nervous about such things. But now that I am out of the closet, so to speak, I'll admit that I'm not posting as much because I'm back in school! I'm teaching part time and working on a doctorate.

Just don't have enough time to go shooting, and the snowfall messed up my free time.

Oh, another thought--don't forget the special ladies in your life this Valentines! A new revolver might not be her forte, but a little something special is usually greatly appreciated--her favorite coffee, perhaps?

oops--gone to meddling....

Meddle on, we all do that here to one extent or another.
But if she wanted to get me a new revolver, I would take her to Starbucks many, many times!

I am noticing more and more women at our gun club than ever, most seem to be having a good time and are very intense on their shooting. I think its a good, welcomed trend. Hope more feel welcomed to this forum as well.

OK..Looking at Miss KTP's first post in this thread, who made the "charming post"? I didn't think we were allowed to be charming. Or, is that capable?
