They're constrained right now and difficult to come by. S&W will get more out there, it may just be a little while. This isn't unusual when S&W gets large contracts. 9mm Sigma mags are often hard to find when they're filling large contracts for Afghanistan.

Unfortunately I have not had that problem yet, as I am still waiting my chance to buy an M&P45c.

I have seen precious few that were not with the guns, and I do not remember how overpriced they were when I saw them, but I passed on them. I seem to recall that I could have bought a 9VE for the same price as three M&P mags.

I called S&W yesterday to find out why the shortage of M&P9 (full size) 17rd mags -- the CS rep said they were playing catchup with a backlog of 75,000... Apparently the free mag incentives have generated a lot of M&P sales. Good for S&W!
I e-mailed S&W a week ago asking them to please include me in the rebate/free mag promotion. What happen is that I wanted the M&P 9L and my local shop had been trying to find me one for two weeks which through me almost a week pass the Aug. 15th deadline.
I also mentioned that the shop where I made my purchase, tried to get me to go with the XD 9mm Tactical and save my self $55.00, however the M&P 9L was the pistol that I wanted. So far no response to my e-mail.
Looking back I should have gone with the XD, saved $55.00 and bought 3 mags with the savings.
Needed the extra mags because I wanted to use the 9mm in IDPA matches.
I'm a little upset and may sell my M&P 9L which I haven't fired yet and purchase the XD. I was going to get the M&P .45 as well but changed my mind prior to the 9L purchase and put in the layaway an FNP .45. Glad I did!!
Also no response from Smith and Wesson!

You knew you missed the cut-off date before you made the purchase. Why would you be upset at this point, and over a lousy $55.00 for that matter.
Shoot your piece and enjoy it - you're gonna lose more than $55.00 selling it.
BTW - do you have any idea how many emails S&W must get on any given day? I don't, but I personally get over 100...I would think they have a good deal more than that...

Glock mags have gone up. I hadn't priced them for a while. I'm glad I bought mags for guns that I wanted to own later the night the Dems were winning their majority in Congress.
I had not priced them lately either. I do have several Glock 22 and XD45 mags tucked away just in case. Also AR mags. I just picked up an M&P40, and I have 4 mags now but I'd love to have about 4 to 5 more to put away.

Mec-gar makes them for SW as they do for
most gun companies. I shot an XD Tact in both
9/40. Went to the MP 9 FS for IDPA. Sold all
XD's. You have the right tool for IDPA. IMO

Call Seth at CDNN. Last time I looked they had S&W M&P mags for both 9mm and .40.
I went ahead and ordered 2 more from Sports South today for myself. That will give me 6 mags total. No more than I shoot it, that will last me for years. I hope to pick up 4 to 6 more before the first of the year just in case.

I have no idea who Bud's is. Anyway I got in two Arrendondo +6 basepads for my spare magazines which puts them up to 23rnds. Installed and function very nice.
