Where do you buy reloading bullets and powder?

powder and primers ... Cabela's, Bass Pro, local LGS .....
This takes a lot of the hazmat fee burden off your shoulders.
Bullets ..... Mostly, I make my own. What I don't produce, I'll go through many of the online sources.

whatever you do don't fall into that Addictive Rabbit Hole of Casting your own bullets ... it will consume you , all your spare time and lead you on a quest for the Holy Grail of cast bullet shooting ...The One Hole Group and the Unleaded Bore
You will be consumed by lubricant recipe's , alloy metals , wheel weight quests , sizers and sizing diameter's ... and the worst thing ... Custom Bullet Moulds ... it's just a terrible addiction !
No my friend ... do not even entertain the thought of casting bullets ...
pay the price and have someone else do the dirty work .

I had a big order with Powder Valley a few years ago, and had to cancel it because they wanted to charge me a $15 Hazmat fee for each pound of powder in an 8 pound jug!

What the heck??? Never heard of anybody doing that, especially Powder Valley. They are pretty clear how much you can ship under one hazmat and what you can combine into a single shipment. You are right that hazmat can eat into good deals, but a pound for pound hazmat?

Casting bullets ? It's an endeavor that has brought me much pleasure . My most recent has been a mold that casts the Keith swc which is normally 173 gr but as I cast it " hollow point " it drops the weight to 154.5 grs consistently . It is extremely accurate and works well in 38 special as it is light enough now . A forum member who has trained Law Enforcement in Mexico turned me onto it as it is the mold for choice there . If I only bought from commercial casters I would of missed out on a lot of fun and experience being limited to only what is available . Regards Paul

I order Berry's plated bullets from Scheel's and plain lead cast bullets from T & B Bullets T&B Bullets. I order 1K at a time and sell 500 for what I paid for 1K, my bullets are free !

I had heard about Miwall for quite a while, but never ordered from them. People spoke highly of them, so yesterday I submitted an order for powder. I compared prices and availability from my usual haunts. Miwall beat them them on price with a few minor variations. They also had everything I wanted in stock which saves on shipping and hazmat. As long as I don't get any surprises, I will use Miwall again.
