I just got back from filling out the paper work for my brand new blue Model 40, which I can pick up this Sunday. I want to put a Tyler T grip on it but I am unsure of where I should order one from?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

They can be ordered direct from Tyler Manufacturing, but I've heard conflicting stories on availability, customer service, etc.

I bought one for a j-frame for $15 at a gun show last weekend. I saw a large display of stocks (grips) and just asked the guy if he had any t-grips. He had several for Colts, but only the one for a S&W. I have bought them off used guns in a display case.

I have a new bronze Tyler, old school quality that I will sell you for 30.00 + whatever the shipping is (couple of bucks tops). Bought it for my 34 and it's been in a bag ever since.

The OP had better take Sportsterguy up on his offer. The last ones I bought from Tyler took six months to get (and the old bronze ones are my favorite). In fact, if Skipr77 doesn't want it, I will take it.

seems to be the only way these days. I bought one for an "N" frame a few weeks ago. the guy said he had more but left them at home. i gave him my info but did not get his. he never contacted me. that's pretty stupid of me to think someone would contact me and let me know he has tyler's to sell. maybe he will be at the show next weekend, but I doubt it. surprisingly if you can find them at gunshows the sellers seem to be willing to give them away, even though they know they are hard to find. I got mine for 15 or 20 too.

I live in the town where they are made. Terrible customer service. It took me almost 6 months (after they cashed my check) to get one and that was only after I called them many times.
