I have a 1006 and want to change the factory plastic one piece grip to the curved backstrap version...mine currently has the straight backed version that came on the gun. Didn't see them on their web site...only the Hogue rubber replacements...so I assume they aren't offered by the factory anymore. Anyone know of a good source?

Factory still sells them everyday and they are usually the cheapest. Just call their customer service number.

I purchased a new grip and grip pin direct from S&W yesterday. It was just under 20 bucks for both.

how about curved back grips for the 3913? Does anyone make such a thing? I do not recall the factory making a 3913 with curved back but would love to have such a grip on a 3913.

Hey bna1jem,
I think Houge makes a curved back grip for the 3900 series. I've seen a couple here and there. They are a bit beefier than the factory grips though.

Ribbed Rubbers from Pachmayr

For your pleasure ...:D

The only thing - and I mean the only thing I did not care for in my 3954 was the feel of the grips. A Pachmayr #3 Slip On Pistol Grip took care of that.
The box says they fit 3900, 4500, 5900 and 6900 series guns. It's worth $10 for the experience alone.

blujax01,
Good point. I bought one for my 4506 because I couldn't find a set of combat grips for it. I like them. They slip on easily and are quite comfortable.

And ugly - I forgot to mention ugly! :) But they feel fine.
