ive even tried a few different websites but not willing to spend the $450+ that you see on gun broker for the Shields in .40

In the same boat in northern NM. LGS has yet to get more than their blue gun promo package and tried and true websites were in and out odpf stock initially but havent had stock for a few months.

Not that it helps you, but they have dried up pretty fast here in central IL, too. LGS had a 40 last weekend, but the 9mm's are nowhere to be found.

Tell me about it ! I've been on a wanting list for 2 months now, and they have yet to get a second shipment in. I hear it could be late summer or early fall.

Shield 9

I ended up putting my name on the waiting list at a few shops. Low and behold one week later I got a call and have had mine about a month. Took it to the range finally last Friday and man did I fall in love with that piece. A friend I went with has had his for a little longer and I fired his with the trigger job he had done to his and it improved my groupings by about 1- 1 and a half inches at 25 feet. I left mine with the smithy and am having mine brought down to about 3 to 3 and a half pounds. It made an amazing difference. It is not bad from the factory, but after firing my friends I really knew the difference. It is one fine weapon. Sights were dead on from the factory and just pulle it out of the box and ran 150 rounds through it with no hick-ups.

My LGS, Town Police Supply, has 300 ordered that should be in this month. I'm guessing they will have the LE versions. Hopefully I can get one when they come in. First come, first served is their motto.

Could of had a second 9mm on July 4th but I gave it up since I got one in April. Maybe I should have bought it and jacked up the price and resold it.

I'm currently here in MN and while at Gander Mountain the other day I over heard 7 people looking for the 9mm in just 15 mins or so

makes me wonder what S&W was thinking by not making enough of these.lol and not to sound like a dummy but im guessing LGS means local gun shop/store.

"shoot straight" in apopka,fl. had them last week in 9 or 40...
i grabbed one for myself in 9

It's a very hot gun and many people are on long waiting lists. I suggest that you do the same with several shops and wait if you don't want to pay over MSRP.

had to pay suggested retail at LGS or wait and try to catch it for less at local chain store (1st come, 1st served)

i paid MSRP, what can i say?

i coulda got one at MSRP at cabelas about 2 weeks ago but they ticked me off beyond believe so i kinda refuse to go back there, atleast for a long while. im on a few waiting list here locally but i dont have anything for a lead time nor ETA

I was in Pikeville, KY, eastern part of state, and a shop there had both the 9 and 40 in stock

Got a call yesterday that my Shield was in at a Gander Mt. I was on too many lists and one had come thru already. So they are starting to trickle in around here at least. ( SE WIS AREA)

if anybody wants to share the shop name/number ill be more than happy to call and see if its available. all the help is appreciated for sure
