Which backstrap insert do you use??

I have medium size hands and use the small insert (on my 45). I've had days at the range when I've shot better with the other two, but I just decided to live with the small and get used to it.

Medium is the perfect size for me. I have large hands and while the small gives me a great feeling grip, my long fingers tend to go to far into the trigger causing me to twist the gun. Large is just...well...to large.

I've used the small on every M&P I've owned...9s or 45s, compact or FS. It just feels better in my hand.

I started with medium, really couldn't get my trigger finger situated comfortably. After 2 or 3 trips to the range I switched to large, which was much better. But I wish I could try an XL, my hands are a bit big.

I started out with small on my 9c, 45c and 9FS. Now use the medium. I shoot with thumbs forward and the mediums give me more room to fit my support thumbpad on the grip with thumb forward. Otherwise the fingers of my strong hand wrapped around the grip to much and felt like I was crowding the grip.

I use the large palmswell grip. The other two just didn't feel right!

I use the Large and trim off the top tab to get my hand deeper into the beavertail. This gives me a grip similar to the CZ grip. The latter being the most comfortable grip I have run across to date.

I used the medium on my 9mm until I installed the Crimson Trace grip which is about the same size. I need to use the small on the 45 since the grip is considerably larger to accommodate the larger magazine. The CT laser grip fits the 45, but makes the grip too large for really effective use.

I use a medium (stippled) on both 5" Pros and the stock medium on my 9 FS. I tried the others, and kept coming back to the medium. It fits!

On the FS I use the small - although I prefer the feel the feel of the medium, I shoot better with the small.

On my compact I use what came installed. Medium I think.

i use a medium. I have to find some time to stipple my small grip to see which grip i should better with. i should great with my medium grip but i feel as though the small grip feels better in my hands.

I like the large grip. My hands are average, but it gives me more area for the palm of the support hand to cover. I use the 360 grip I've seen in videos referenced by other members and the large seems to help me implement that best.

I have never used the small grip. I started with the medium because it felt the most comfortable. Then I was reading a blog from someone who liked the feel of the medium but shot better with the large, so I tried it. The large made a noticeable difference in my accuracy so I've stuck with it. I intend to go back to the medium eventually simply because I'm a relatively new pistol shooter and know that shooting better may be just a result of progress in my shooting ability.
