Which Firearm do you think has the most elegant lines

for lines of an artistic nature...
I humbly submit the Whitney Wolverine...

I will second the Whitney - I wondered if anyone else was going to mention it. Similarly in the pocket pistol category I prefer the lines of the Mauser HSC over the Walther PPK family.

For a long gun I've always admired the smoothness of the Colt Sauer action, although I'm not a fan of the stock style.

The integrated look of the prewar S&W adjustable sight guns is a pleasure, with the Triple Lock at the top of the heap.

Finally, I have to take issue with those proposing the P-08 Luger. Really? Okay, it's got a nice tapered barrel with a band at the end, and the grip is at a rakish angle with nicely shaped checkered grips, but have you actually looked at the rest of it? It's got that blunt squared off backside of the action, the safety lever is kind of just stuck in there, and the side plate looks like it's scabbed on. Never mind that I have several, it just isn't all it's cracked up to be looks-wise, much like the British Spitfire fighter. ;)

Aw! C'mon! It's all those little flaws you point out that give it the "elegant but deadly" look.

Besides it's darned accurate to boot. Elegance alone without performance is worthless.

I never thought of Lugers as elegant, they are more steampunk cool.

S&W 2nd model single shot pistol

The S&W 2nd Model single shot target pistol has simple, clean, graceful lines, this one being less common Nickel plated with 8 inch .22lr barrel.
