Easier, simpler, yes - but with time we adapt. The main thing is this thing shouldn't be an unbearable drain on the boss' finances and if this helps, I guess it is a small price to pay. Having said that, if "sustaining donations" are needed, I am still willing to chip in. Just let us know. :)

I've worked a lot of places where changes were made and everyone complained bitterly. Invariably, management would say, "That decision has been made. Adjust to the changes and move on."

We could do a poll, but I doubt that we will get any volunteers to pay the difference in cost for going back to the old provider.

In the new format it's nice to be able to put your cursor over the subject line and see what the post is all about without having to open it. Saves time.

agree with gunloving girl. Doesn't matter to me as long as there is a forum. It's the boss Lee's choice and am just a guest

I haven't liked any changes since 1977 (got married that year). That being said, I'll adjust like always.

There is an old saying: Lead, follow, or get out of the way. If the powers that be want a change, so be it.

I don't fully understand all the features of the new one but I think it is going to be better for me once I learn more about it.(I am slow and old)

yes i am old and slow and this computer thing can some time make you want to take a hammer to it

Whatever it takes to keep it going. I really enjoy this forum and have learned so much from it. Thanks to Lee and anyone else that makes it happen.

Seems like there is a lot of dead space on the top and bottom of the screen. Not nearly as many topics on the front page.

OK, you asked.......

Overall, I really don't care, as long as we have a place to play, BUT---two things bother me.

1. Someone mentioned earlier all the wasted space, I agree, you do much more scrolling.

2. Major one here, the seemingly tasteless advertising with Google Ads, I know it is a great
source of income, and it is needed, and most work on keyword placement.but was anyone
other than me offended by the poor match between Shoo's post regarding Mrs. Shoo's
breast cancer, and the ad topic of " Does your bra cause breast cancer".............

Kind of PISSED me off...

It will take me some time to get used to the new one, with all the features. The old one seemed easier.

Roger that.

I like it. Many new features.. Some that other forums have that I really like.

I like the "new posts" feature.. It is nice to be able to click on the "view first unread" and not have to scroll through all of the old posts in a thread.

If we didn't have change, we'd be shootin' caplocks and drivin' a team of horses.. Not that that is all bad, but I'm just sayin'!!
It is a great improvement.

Im a slow learner. But I think I will like this just fine. Really dont care I guess. As long as we are still here :)

I think the two big plusses are the ability to place your cursor on the subject line to get an idea of what the thread is about, and the clear separation between the user's post and their signature. That lack of separation drove me nuts in the old format.

The first-post advertising leaves me a little puzzled. I've seen a couple of ads that just don't seem to fit, given the eggshells that folks were walking on the last half of March. Either you know what I mean, or you don't.

I do like this new look.

There's a new format? :-)

Love the "New Posts" feature and the rollover preview.

Can't think of anything I miss much from the previous setup.
