Which gun care product smells the best (to you)

As much as I hate to admit it, I really liked the smell of Weapon Shield CLP the one time I tried it.

While I cannot truly attest to the aroma of Hoope's I can say it triggers many pleasant memories.

I'm not saying it's my favorite but CLP smells like chicken flavored ramen noodles. Well to me anyway. I like hoppes 9.

Another vote for Hoppes #9. Reminds me of good times with my Dad. Amazing how those scents stay with you.

One night I was cleaning my gun's with #9 and I had some on my fingers, not to let it go to waste I rubbed it on the handle of my Buck knife, a few days later a woman at work asked if she could borrow my knife, when she brought it back she asked me if I had been cleaning my gun's, I said yes, she said her father and her brother's used #9 and she loved the smell, she said it really turned her on, come to think of it, there wasn't much that didn't turn her on. :D

The scent of Rangoon oil is a comfort smell for me. It is something I associate with classic old guns and the gun case they were stored in long ago. I still use it to protect my side by sides and rifles.

Hoppes #9 is a close second with Bore Butter's minty scent coming in a distant 3rd.

Hoppes here, the wife actually will NOT complain when it's time to clean the firearms. In my advanced age:D odors are starting to get to me...but not Hoppes, smells like a good perfume:eek:

I like ballistol. It really is strong but it grew on me.

3 In one oil. When I was seven years old, 70 years ago, I had my first .22 rifle. I shot it every day and cleaned it every night and used 3 in one oil. I don't know if that is considered a gun cleaning procuct, but in 1945, that was all I had. It did the job and I still have the gun and still shoot it. I love the smell of 3 in one oil and it always reminds me of when I was 7 years old in 1945 and my first .22 rifle. Joe
