Which holster do you use?

Galco V-Hawk, all day everyday for the last three years.

HHH C1 for my Shield. Very comfortable all day EDC at 4:00, great draw and reholstering. Waiting for HHH M1 for my new P938. I expect it will be equally good.

Picked up one of these for my MP Body Guard - the Desantis Pocket Shot -

Fits like a glove in just about any pocket, I prefer the rear since its print makes it appear as a wallet, very comfortable, you barely know it's there.

Practiced shooting through the holster yesterday, works very well, and was as accurate as shooting freehand without the holster, although the grip is slightly modified. Does not obstruct mag loading or dropping, slide function or safety action. Not a bad deal for $25.........

I'm a big guy and I carry big guns - among them a S&W 1911 Commander and M&P 9mm or M&P 45 ACP. I've used the following IWB holsters very successfully for several years now: Crossbreed SuperTuck, MTR Custom Leather and more recently AlienGear Holsters. All three are custom order to fit your gun and I have a different one for the 1911 than for the M&P. The Alien Gear holster is half the price of the others and every bit as good. It has become my daily wear holster for the past few months and it looks like I'm sticking with it.

You did not indicate your intended use, as mentioned by a couple of responses. Most replies assume you intend concealed carry. When I purchased my M&P9 Pro 5" I also picked up a Blackhawk SERPA Sportster with a paddle mount for falling plate and steel challenge matches, and I am happy with it, it is secure, requires safe trigger finger positioning for releasing the catch on the draw, and withdraws smoothly with no drag or stickiness. They advertise it as being for range use or concealed carry, I can't speak to the concealed carry aspect, but it works great on the range, and the price is right.

OWB my blackhawk SERPA. IWB I use my little foxx

Multi-holsters kydex IWB easy to put on and carries like its not even there. Great retention and super light and comfortable. Great customer service and Tony is a real craftsman in all holsters made.

I am also looking for a holster for my 5" M&P C.O.R.E. that I can use in IDPA. Want to make sure the higher front sight will clear and later will
work with a red dot sight.

I have a few but I like the Safariland S & W M & P 9C ALS Concealment Paddle Holster

Personally I carry my M&P 40 in an Air Marshall shoulder holster from Kangaroo Carry. I also carry my M&P45 in one of them. And I carry two spare Magazines in the shoulder rigs. During my time in law enforcement I think I tried every manner of concealed carry holsters that you can think of and the Air Marshall is the most comfortable one that I have found yet. I can and do wear it while building fence or working on a truck, no problem.

I carry my 9c in a FusionPac. I have been using it almost 2 years and it is truly the most comfortable tuckable holster on the market. You don't have to deal with clips and needing 3 hands to try tucking in your shirt and the weight doesn't ride on your belt, it rides on your bidy. Very easy when you have to go to the bathroom to take care of business. Take a look at it at www.tactipac.com

Either Blackhawk holsters or the iwb holsters from N8squared tactical. They are comfortable, especially with full size guns.

I got an aliengearholsters.com holster about 4 months ago that I cannot say anything bad about. The price is great also. Made in America like all or most of the above. But I can still appreciate that.

I haven't actually read any bad reviews about the Aliengear holsters. I recently checked their website (always on the lookout for the next IWB holster) and I noticed they are selling a new holster (Cloak Tuck 2.0) that they claim is an "upgrade" from the regular leather backed IWB holster. The only difference I can see is that the new holster has a neoprene backing instead of leather and the neoprene holster costs more.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the neoprene materials with IWB holsters and can tell what the advantages might be. I would think the leather would be an upgrade from the neoprene? There is a message on the leather holster page urging people to buy the neoprene holster due to high demand and limited supply of the leather variety.

I am hoping the high demand and recent popularity of the Aliengear holsters (advertising on S&W forums) haven't lead them to sell a lesser product to try and keep up with demand and supply costs. It has been well known the Aliengear holsters cost a lot less that crossbreed holsters and people have wondered how they can sell them so much cheaper. Has that practice finally caught up to them?

I'm definitely not accusing them of anything. Like I said, I have read nothing but good things about the company and their holsters but, I was just wondering why a "neoprene" material would cost more and be considered an "upgrade" from their proven leather IWB holsters? If it's really all that good, maybe the "Cloak Tuck 2.0" will be the next holster I try. Any opinions will be appreciated.
